Q: with a king size pad...where is the outlet to plug it in? at the end of the bed?

I just got this heating pad set up. The plug should go at the bottom of the bed. The top part of the pad, where your head goes, doesn't have the heating wires in it. The wires start about 16 inches or so away from the top and then run all the way down to your feet.

Q: Can you feel the cords running through the pad? Or is there a thick enough foam that you can't feel it?

It is not foam it is some sort of a fibre. If I press down on the pad with my hand and run my hand over the item in question I can feel them. I never feel them when laying on it, not at any time. As a matter of fact I had to think about it when the question was asked. So no I don't feel the wires when laying on the mattress cover.

Q: Can i use this with a timed outlet? i want to turn the blanket on at later time without being there to push the "on" button on the controller?

No, that would be the same as unplugging it. When you unplug it and plug it back in the default setting is off. You must press the on button to make it start heating. I thought that would be a good idea too, so I could have Alexa start heating my bed every night at the same time. But it won't work.
