In April 2015, the Hatton Garden Safe Deposit Company, an underground facility in London, was the victim of an audacious multi million pound raid. A group of retirement-age career criminals, with a combined age of 446, the so-called "Diamond Geezers", robbed the vault in what would be the biggest burglary in UK history which the team of professional criminals hoped would make them rich beyond their wildest dreams. The sophisticated plan, years in the making, resulted in tens of millions of pounds worth of valuables being stolen and the gang of unlikely criminals becoming the most wanted men in the country. `Hatton Garden : The Heist tells the story that captured the public's imagination more than any other crime since The Great Train Robbery.

Out of focus!
As I watched one of the first scenes when all the men were sitting in a pub I could see how badly this film was made, every time the camera moved to Sidney Livingstones (Brian's) face the camera focus on the blackboard behind him rather then his face, he was out of focus for the whole scene.I hated the camera movement, the film seemed rushed. I liked the recreation of the cctv footage, however the wig they used on basil was shocking, when I looked back at actual photos of the robber he had a better wig.Its worth a watch especially as I only spend 99p on renting it from amazon, I would have been angry if I'd spent more.

It was very obviously low budget.
Low budget, low excitement, low suspense. All of this equalled low satisfaction. At the end, I still wasn't sure who Basil was....... and who was the bloke stepping off the aircraft at the start ? - Was HE Basil ? - I've no idea. Did he take part in the robbery ? - I don't know. I wouldn't bother to watch it again to find out the answers.

Not great tbh
This film could have been so good but left me a little disappointed. The camera work is so shaky it makes you feel queesy, acting is ropey in parts and there was just plot holes throughout. So much time devoted to different areas that are ever finished off.

Very average film that needed much better actors.
Tediously slow build up. You don't really give a toot about the characters. Little excitement when the characters finally get their hands on the loot. It's always challenging to generate suspense when the viewer pretty much knows the plot outcome. Basil getting away with it was the only satisfying part of this movie, for me.

It's an honest to goodness, down to earth Brit Flick gangster movie that could only really be performed by a bunch of unknowns in relatively grubby settings for a believable effect. Pacey and believable with no frills, glitz or glammer and a respectable 80 minutes entertainment
