Good but not great
Decent ballcock but tends to get leaks this can be fixed with new seals. A better product is the cesco Ballcocks either the Burlington 20a or the scovill 16a. These models have a more modern seal and never leak.

Poor Integrity of Brass / Copper
Phenomenally disappointed with Ballcock products from Prier. Save your money, this is not a quality product. Go buy a sub $10 plastic one from Home Depot.Tired of constantly repairing toilets with cheap products, several years ago I went on a quest for something high quality that might give me ten plus year of service. I overhauled three toilets in my home with the Prier 07 Ball Cock (now discontinued). Two of the three ballcocks sprung leaks in the main pipe stem after a few years. There were not leaks at a joint, but actually leaks in the copper pipe itself. I have never seen a copper pipe leak like that before - I figured it was a fluke, bad batch in production. So I purchased an 09 to try as a replacement (07 no longer available). A few weeks later, sure enough - this started leaking, ruining the baseboard behind the toilet. I was puzzled at first, but after thorough inspection, I found the leak in the brass fitting that attaches to the tank - leaking by the threads, a bad casting. I've owned 4 Prier Ball Cock products - 3 of which sprung leaks, none at connections or seals. Plastic will give you as good of life for a fraction of the cost while being quieter, easier to install and adjust (superior float design). Don't waste you money on these.

If You've Got a Pull Chain Water Closet (toilet)...This Will Repair It !!!
When we built our home, I decided that I wanted a pull chain "water closet" (an old-time toilet) that has a copper-lined, oak water supply tank that's anchored about 6 feet above the toilet bowl to the wall. To flush it...you just pull the chain, and about 1 1/2 gallons of water rush down a solid brass pipe to successfully complete the job! When the brass fill system (Ball Cock) needed to be replaced...I searched everywhere to get a replacement. I wasn't successful at any of the BIG box stores, or even at any of the local plumbing warehouses. Then, pleasantly to my surprise, I tried Amazon.com and located the Prier Products 09-P Brass Ball Cock. It was easy to install, and mated up perfectly to my old worn out brass ball cock !So If you've been EVERYWHERE...looking for one of these...Don't Call Your Plumber...Click Your Mouse and SAVE yourself a hundred dollar installation charge.Mine's been working flawlessly for several years now !

They still make them like they used to.
I first bought one of these in the local hardware store because it was all they had. I can't say I have a complaint about the original plastic ball cocks in our toilets. The first one lasted almost 20 years. When I needed a second one, our hardware store no longer has this model in stock, so I bought two more through Amazon. I guess I'll have to wait another 20 years to see if this one does any better. The appeal is partly nostalgic - a product made of solid metal and made in the USA. But so far, I know that it's quieter and faster, so I'm already pleased with its performance.

I paid top dollar and it just sucks - never shuts off
This valve runs CONSTANTLY. I paid top dollar and it just sucks - never shuts off, even after I had to go out and buy an extended float valve arm. You're better off just getting the plastic trash from home depot and replacing it every year. Do not buy

The genuine article.
This is the original Mansfield from which all the others are copied. Never had luck with any others. They all failed after a few months. Wish I had found Prier Mansfield 10 years ago. Made in the USA not china.

Brass Ball Cock that Works
Great basic ball cock that works well especially for older style toilet tanks. Some tanks may require a longer threaded float rod that would be purchased separately.

Five Stars
Definitely the best of its kind, always good to have a spare one on hand just in case.
