For an Abe Lincoln school presentation, I bought the Men’s XS for my tall 13 year old son (almost 5’6”) who is between sizes - a Boys XXL and a Men’s S. He is in that awkward stage where he is still a youth but is now taller than some men. He currently wears well a size 20 regular suit coat. The largest youth Lincoln costumes out there are still tailored for shorter adolescents. This costume was the only one that offered a Men’s XS option. It did not disappoint! Not only was it a perfect fit, but it exceeded my expectations for a costume. The outer jacket had an authentic look with its long length, thicker lapels and collar, foam shoulder pads, and well-sewn buttons. The vest comes as a separate piece. The tie and hat polished the look. The tie had a good size Velcro strip so you can adjust it, and it was attached fairly securely compared to typical cheaply manufactured costumes which can rip and fall apart easily after one use. The stovepipe hat is cleverly made with several thick, stiff, sturdy black felt pieces that are easy to assemble and easy to collapse for storage. Note that hat does not match picture; rim is flat and doesn’t curl up on sides but it still presents well. I was hesitant to make this purchase at first but the higher price proved worth the investment as it got my crowd-anxious son excited and gave him confidence for his presentation. Also, as patriots, we will surely be using this costume again in future events which celebrate our great nation. You will need a white shirt, black pants, and beard to complete the Abe Lincoln look, but the costume can also be used for Frederick Douglas or perhaps even Thomas Edison if you just change up the hair piece. Appreciate the thought and effort put into the design and making of this costume which is why I’m taking this time to give it a great review.

It was perfect for what I wanted it for. A one time thing for a Halloween party. I usually wear a medium but i had to order a small in order to get it in time, and the small fit just fine. The vest is probably the only thing that changes in size. Ribbon around the hat came off but I just glued it back on. Hat was tougher to put together than I expected, had to pull it pretty tightly to get it together, but very doable. The bowtie was humorously large, but you could cut it down if it bothers you. This is not movie prop quality, but for the price it works perfect for social events.

This was a great product for my 12-year-old son he is 5 foot 1” Slender build Large costumes in boys no longer fit him so we did migrate over to a small in men’s which did need some light altering but overall it was a great fit.

It was a great costume! I somehow missed that this costume comes with the hat. It's nice because the hat can be collapsed (without losing serious form). Husband put on the beard and boom! People couldn't stop complementing Honest Abe. Great quality costume!

For the money, it's great and does the job. The hat is way too small and it's meant for someone ... shorter than Abraham Lincoln. I deicded to dress up as him because I'm the same size as him ... it's good.

I recently bought the costume and the hat that came with the costume is way too small. There is an elastic band inside the hat to help make it fit, but I can't even fit the hat on top of my head. I tried to see if there would be an exchange, but they don't do any exchanges. The clothes also seem pretty cheap and hopefully they will last me through a day. Should have just gone to Good Will instead...

My son is very big for his age ( 5’2 140 pounds) and this fit perfectly!

This was perfect for a school project. My son had to dress as Lincoln and there were a couple others in the other classes and he got praised for having the best costume. We got a beard separately.
