Taking the washer apart and getting the old one out was a bit of a hassle.There are good videos on YouTube that show you how to do it.My washer was not spinning at the end all the time and the clothes were wet.This solved the problem in my 20 year old Kenmore Elite washer.

I was about ready to suffer upgrading to a new washer. One of those that uses less water and loaded with vulnerable electronics. I found this online. 10 minutes to replace and after months of hitting spin several times to finally get the clutch to grab I about thought it was going to throw the clothes through the window it was spinning so good. It was a couple of days waiting but well worth it.

it stops the drum quick and spins the laundry out very well. no more wet laundry after the spin cycle.

Product was as describe but be careful. After two years the three pad clutch band wore out in my commercial washer. Purchased this band hoping it would last longer. It was tight to install, okay once seated. After reassembling the washer the motor would overheat and stop during the spin cycle. I disassembled it a second time and removed two pad. This was better however it would overload the motor during the spin cycle tripping the electrical breaker (20A). I disassembled it a third time and remove another pad (essentially turning into a three pad band). Reassembled the washer and it worked perfectly. Also worth noting is that this 6 pad band is more expensive than a complete three band clutch kit. Lesson learned, make sure your motor can handle this 6 pad band before purchasing.

I am a appliance repairman. This will not fit a standard whirlpool washer clutch, it's too big. If you squeeze it in and make it fit. You will be sorry. The clutch will not slip. This will overload the motor. And it will trip on over temp while trying to spin.

Worked well to fix my machine. Had to rebend it into a circle to fit inside clutch drum. First I thought it was wrong size, but after a bit of fiddling I got it to work. Was Disappointed because it seems like the re-circle-action process is not something that should be done by the end user.
