Steripod Razorpod - Clip-On Razor Protector (Black Pearl)

I originally got this for my razor but but decided to give it to my teenager, instead. I tried it on my Walmart "Joy" razor and it went on fine. Slight gap on the sides, but a nice firm grip so I would feel secure throwing it in my travel bag! Then I passed it to my son, who put it on his Gilette mens razor and it fits that perfectly with no gap at all. I will be buying a couple more for the rest of the family to minimize mess and cuts when we travel. All in all, it seems like a great idea that I wish I had found sooner.

I like it and see the use but for travel this can be a pain sometimes. The issue is that the clip or spring isnt strong enough to keep closed. If they make that a tiny bit firmer on the closing, this product would easily be the best. Also, I would suggest the creator of this to offer one size up for other shavers and blades.

The media could not be loaded.  I still can’t find a reasonable solution for covering my razor when in my backpack or suitcase traveling. The goal is to be able to dig in my backpack and have something cover my razor so that there’s no risk of cutting my fingers. I ordered, because I used the iron bee on my recent vacation and I skinned off a chunk of my finger digging in my bag! I was so mad - that’s the whole reason I bought it in the first place.Anyway, I ordered this to replace it. But this time I assess these products before using them. Check out my video I show how (1) This cover does not actually shut over your razor, and (2) It will very easily will fall of if it’s sitting in your backpack or suitcase.Between this and the iron bee, I would buy this as it provides more protection (see my iron bee review for how that provides zero protection or value). However, you shouldn’t buy EITHER! Neither of them will provide protection while traveling.Until I can find something that works I’m wrapping it in paper towels and putting it in a ziploc bag. It’s what I used to do and while it wasn’t convenient, I never shaved part of my skin off and was bleeding all over the airport.Picture of my gashed open finger for proof.
