Story Box: Create Your Own Animal Adventures (Magma for Laurence King)

This is a brilliant concept - getting the reader to create the story and then telling it using the images on the jigsaw pieces. There are hundreds of 'stories' and each one can be so different. I bought this to use as an activity in story time in the library to show how stories are created and developed and we all loved it. The images are really detailed, right down to minor illustrations and the jigsaw pieces are really sturdy and can be well used.I brought it home for my girl and she loved making up the stories with granny. It would be a really good rainy day project that could pass away a few hours. The more questions you ask the more you get out of it. I will be buying mkre in this series, fantastic product.

My Granddaughter is 4 and a half - perhaps too young for this. She lost interest after 5 minutes when she realised that the pieces do not fit together colour-wise as in a traditional jigsaw and no amount of my telling a story to suit the pieces would persuade her otherwise. The pieces are sealed together in a clear wrap so I was unable to return. Will end up in a charity shop because of all the children I know, I can't think of one who would enjoy this.

Fantastic idea that really allows children to use their imagination. Hours of fun.
