First of all, the rodent proof promise needs to be removed from the selling point. The main reason for buying this is the Rodent Proof promise. Let me tell you, the rats climb in and snack away, and poop in the feed. I think it's easier for them to feed than the open feeder I had. It does hold a good amount of feed, and I don't think the rain could get in, but do not purchase if you are concerned about sharing the feed with rodents. 50 bucks, wasted.

These have been a blessing. We were using the ground feeders (the circular based tubs with all the holds for food...you know what I'm talking about if you have chickens), and the amount of wasted feed was getting out of hand. We decided on these over other similar brands if for no other reason than we liked the green color to plain white PVC. We've had them up for a week now and there is virtually no wasted feed! We have a mixed flock of chickens, turkeys and ducks and they all eat from these without issue. We also had a couple storms and none of the feed got wet. My only complaint is that I wish the mounting brackets had come already drilled. As it is, it is up to you to drill into these to put on the mounting brackets. We just secured them to the run fence with cable ties.

Worlds flawlessly. With 6 chickens, I refill about every 4/5 days. Mine also free range all day. Still their food doesn’t get wet anymore and it’s easy to fill. Highly recommend this.

Keeps feed dry and poop-free! My girls love it. I usually put a cup of feed on the ground in the morning so they can all eat and then they free feed the rest of the day. Great product.

i used one big hose clamp to attach to side of the cage ( a dog kennel, you want it to shake a little as its used to keep it feeding down well, , might be better if the inside color was yellow, the hungry color.....this was a little to big to attach to the smaller store bought koop kit we have.

Great product for chickens. No more wasted feed. Keeps food dry. I do recommend to keep out of the sun as the plastic fades/dries, but I used a light coat of Armoral and no more fading. Highly recommend!!!

Our ladies can wind up in their coop for days if it is rainy and this feeder keeps them happy while stopping them from making a giant mess.
