Beautiful, quality flagpole
I have always wanted my own flagpole and after many years it has finally become reality. I did a ton of research on aluminum, fiberglass, telescopic and sectional. Considering quality, price, shipping and timeline… I went with this Super Tough Commercial Grade Sectional 25 ft. Flagpole in Black - US Made. I wanted to raise and lower the flag the traditional way, so telescopic was out. From a quality standpoint, Fiberglass is probably the best for the Pacific Northwest, but shipping time is expensive and long, plus the cost was significantly more. This pole in black looks fantastic, arrived in a few days and was fairly easy to install. It would be nice if you had the options for the ball. Polished brass isn’t my thing, so I ordered the Eder flagpole 3” ball in an aluminum satin finish. It would also be nice if it included the base flash collar, but doesn’t, so I ordered the US Flagstore 3” base collar in a 12” diameter satin finish. Everything arrived in perfect condition. 1 section of the flagpole had significant burrs, but was easy to file smooth. My Install:I think the directions are lacking/vague, so I watched a couple YouTube videos and made some assumptions. Also, the OnlineStores.com has some decent instructions for flagpoles that can be printed.I used the advice from another review and went with an 18” x 18” concrete square base using approximately (10) 60 lbs. bags of concrete (easier to lift compared to 80 lbs. bags) and (1) bag of play sand.1) Dug a hole approximately 18” diameter and 30” deep2) Framed 18”x18” base with 2x4’s3) Added a couple inches of play sand in the bottom of hole and compacted4) Centered my 4” sleeve (taped the top to keep debris out) in center of hole with 1 3/4” to 2” above grade5) Mixed 1 bag at a time and centered/leveled the sleeve after each bag of concrete6) Finished off 18”x18” square with a trowel and a 1/4 round edger. Light brush finish7) I used chairs instead of saw horses to support the flagpole8) Removed burrs with a file and connected the four sections9) Added the truck to the top and then a solar light (purchased separately) and finally the ball10) Added the base collar from the bottom and ran it up past the cleat location11) Added the cleat with screws included and just tightened loosely.12) Ran the rope through the truck and tied two ends together with a figure 813) Removed the bottom section of flagpole and inserted it into sleeve (remove tape). Centered and added play sand leaving an inch or two at top of sleeve. Critical to make sure this first section is perfectly level14) Using a ladder and a little help, raised the remaining (3) sections and inserted into bottom section15) Removed cleat, lowered flashing, replaced cleat16) Added loop snaps with the two rope ends that were tied centered and spaced in between for a 3’x6’ Annin flag. Rope knot is approximately center of the two flag brass eyeholes17) Using clear silicone caulking, caulked the top couple of inches of sleeve and flashing so it’s watertightRaised flag and done! So far, so good with standing up to daily winds.Tools/supplies: Shovel and or hoe, concrete mixing trough, 18” up to 48” level, flat trowel, edger, hammer, saw, nails/screws, metal file, Phillips screwdriver, ladder, (10-12) bags of 60 lbs Redi Mix concrete, (1) bag of play sand, (1) tube of clear silicone, (1) 8’ 2x4, (1) 4x6 USA flag, 3” hole x12” diameter base flashing, solar or wired flag light.

This is a commercial grade flag pole
The media could not be loaded. I wanted a sturdy 25 foot flag pole for my windy location and this one has 11 gauge sidewalls. the top most section tapers to one and 7/8 inches. The 24" sleeve for the base is a standard 3 inch irrigation pipe. I assembled it on the ground and three sturdy friends stood it up in the fight base. I chose to make the hole about 2 1/2 feet deep and 2 feet wide and used 500 pounds of concrete. It wiggles a bit in the wind but it's not going anywhere. I put the 5 x 8 flag on it versus a 4 x 6 but it looks appropriately sized given its 23 foot rise above the ground. Long may she wave!

Legit commercial grade pole.
The media could not be loaded. This pole is well worth the extra money. It’s sturdy and I put it up myself but it would be easier as a 2 man job. Pole called for 12” x 24” hole which seemed shallow to me given I was flying a 4x6 flag with a 5lb weight. I went with 24” wide X 36” deep. Added 12” sleeve to existing 24” sleeve with a coupling. I used exactly 12 bags of 60lb concrete to fill the hole to grade. That flag is going nowhere down here in South Florida hurricane alley. I used Power Grip adhesive to secure the pieces together to help minimize to movement on the pole between the 5 connection points. That will limit you ability to take the pole sections back don easily but I don’t plan on taking it down ever. Th shipping box was damaged during delivery and the truck, rope, cleat, and ball were missing. Notified the seller and they immediately overnighted me the missing parts. That’s good customer service and made the purchase a positive experience.

I definitely do not recommend this product if you gets high winds where you ...
9 months after I bought the flag pole it bent in half and destroyed the light at the top. I had a 4x4 American Flag flying that I bought from the American Legion and we had high winds come up and my flag pole broke off at the bottom connection ( 3 pieces connect in two places). My neighbors flag pole remained intact but he bought it from another place. I definitely do not recommend this product if you gets high winds where you live because it will not withstand the force of the winds. I thought because they said it was commercial it would withstand the wind but not this one.

Expected much more for $1000 Dollars
The Pole is made of a good thickness (double residential poles) and nicely Anodized. Was easy to assemble and looks fantastic. Cons: for a grand I feel they should have included a Commercial grade brass or stainless-steel pulley/truck instead of the cheapest nylon type that will become brittle over time and fail so I spent the extra money, $8 dollars for a nice brass one and switched them out. 2: the sections fit together very loosely, but I figured once installed it wouldn't matter, but to my dismay, the wind on the flag was able to turn the truck about 20 degrees until the cleated rope stopped it from turning further, now misaligning the rope and cleat, so I had to pull the whole thing out of the ground sleeve which was not enjoyable and employ a couple of strong friends to help. Then had to drill a set screw in each section and reinstall it. Also for the price, a Flange would have been nice to have been included, but that was another $73 dollars. The beautiful Eagle on top was an extra addition, the pole comes with a gold ball. All in all, I was expecting a much better product for the money.
