Excellent collection of Urie Bronfenbrenner's articles
A collection of Urie Bronfenbrenner's articles featuring his compelling thoughts on how we are shaped by the interactions between our biological make up and our environment, especially during the childhood years. Excellent resource for teachers and pediatric psychologists.

A page in the book detached and fell out
I buy this book for a class. When I read a page in Chapter 12, it fell out. I have to return it. However, the customer service agent is nice and kind.

Bronfenbrenner's works is as valid today as it was in the 1960's
Bronfenbrenner's works is as valid today as it was in the 1960's - the ecology of the human development process does not change regardless of how much it has to adapt to the environmental changes. Bronfenbrenner, a lead theorist in the formation of the Head Start Program, is still the lead theorist in the design of SAMHSA's Strategic Prevention Framework now required in most major federal grant funding applications.

Making Human Beings Human
If you are looking for a really good read covering all of the basic theories of Urie Bronfenbrenner this is the one to get. I got it for research of Urie's work but it has become one of my favorite books of all time!

Horrid!
This book is horrible! The author uses the most complex sentence structure possible, either to inflate the view of himself, or completely confuse and bore the reader, I'm not sure which. The principles are simple, but the author makes them complex on purpose. The book would be one quarter the length if the author knew how to write and explain his ideas in a more efficient manner.

This was a great survey of Urie Brohenbrenner's work
This was a collection of articles by Urie Brohenbrenner and others explaining the bioecological theory of human development. It was clearly written and gave detailed examples of his theory. It is a great reference.

Integrative and holistic Bronfenbrenner
A good read to catch up with many trends and ideas in bio-psychosocial-spiritual thinking. And if that is too much of a mouthful there are plenty of examples of how factors outside the individual impact on how they currently function. As relevant now as when Bronfenbrenner started writing about how many aspects of interlinked systems seemed to work. This may be a collection of different authors' ideas and understandings over time but it is definitely a perspective many people in services and politics would do well to comprehend- in depth.
