Sea Monsters: A Prehistoric Adventure Paperback – October 9, 2007

The sellers were so sweet and included two extra fun books for free! Such a nice gesture you don’t often see these days. My kids were so excited and each book is great. Highly recommend.

Nothing gets kids more interested in a book than pictures of big scary monsters. And so this book is great for getting kids into reading about prehistory, evolution, dinosaurs and other such topics of long latin names, big teeth and hypothesized habitats. I bought the soft-cover version of this book, and really like it. The pictures are great; the text is easy to read, with the occasional long name of prehistoric animal.

My son really enjoys books on dinosaurs, sharks, and other sea creatures. He has so many and knows several names already so you never know what to expect with a new book. I ordered this book hoping to merge and overlap some of his favorite creatures and there was a lot of new information which was great. He enjoyed it and I didn't think it was too much for his skill level (2nd grade). The reason for the 4 stars was that it came with a corner tear and scratch across the front. So I wasn't sure if it was a used item and advertised as new or happened in the handling process. Either way my son didn't notice, but I did.

I had no choice but to buy this book after my son checked it out from the library for the sixth time. At that point you just have to commit. The book is well put together and shipping was fast

My daughter is very into the elasmosaurus. This book works well for her age and interests.
