Eddie Bauer Women's Lodge Down Duffle Coat

The eggplant color of this coat is beautiful. It is nice and long to keep my legs warm in the wind, plus it insulates my fanny from cold car seats. I've worn this coat in 40 degree fall weather without overheating, plus on shopping trips. When we finally had -20F, it still kept me warm. I really love that it has snaps for when I take the dog out for a quick walk. The hood is warm and is deep enough to block the wind. I didn't buy it for rainy weather, so I can't comment on water resistance. I usually wear a XXL or 2X and ordered this in 3X so I can wear thick layers under it.I had bought another brand of long down coat (O.R.) that was very highly rated by those who rate cold weather coats. Customer reviews said that coat ran large and to size down, so I ordered the largest size they had at the time, XL. That coat fit me OK on top, but was too tight through the hips. It was cut straight with no allowance for larger hips. It also didn't have snaps. That more expensive coat was returned and I ordered this Eddie Bauer coat which I love.

This coat is perfect! It is fantastic that Eddie Bauer has an extra tall option because that is exactly what I needed. I get compliments often and I really feel like I am in the snuggliest sleeping bag each time I go out in it. I am warm and cozy. Bring it on Chicago winter... I can take it (thanks to this nice coat). High quality is worth it!

I purchased this coat originally for a trip to Chicago back in Feb 2023 with temps low 20's F. Pulled out to use for a second trip back to the windy city Dec 2023 with temps 30-40's F. This coat truly is the perfect piece for so many reasons. Fashionable, comfortable, easy wear, price point. This coat did the job of keeping me nice and warm. Highly recommend.

Come on, Winter! Why are you stalling???This coat is soft and super warm, and I can't wait to wrap up in it. I bought one for my mom-in-law and immediately coveted it for myself! (Maybe I would have snatched it, but no--she's too tiny, and too nice. I had to get my own.)I like that it's long--but not confining; this is because of the two-way zipper that can be opened at the bottom as well as the top, to free up my legs. This is especially nice for sitting down in the car. Cozy fake fur hood! Yum! I love my coat!

This coat is beautiful and I'm sure it'll be very warm when the Chicago winter hits. It's nice and long. Hits me around mid calf and I'm 5'6". That being said, I agree with the reviews, it runs small, order up, seriously. The exchange process is very frustrating.I am currently in the process of trying to exchange this for a medium instead of a small, the sleeves were very short, and it's pretty tight with a sweater underneath. I usually wear a small with other outdoor companies like Columbia and Patagonia, so this seems on the small size. I'm 5'6", 135 lbs.This isn't really an Amazon Prime item. You have to do all returns and exchanges through Eddie Bauer, the item takes 5 days to ship and arrive, and you have to pay $5 if you want return the item to Amazon. You can't even take it to an Amazon locker to drop it off if you do return it, you have to pay $5 to find and drop off at a UPS location.I had to call Eddie Bauer directly to get a free prepaid exchange/return label emailed to me. It's going to take 24-48 hours to receive that email, and I have to call to request the next size up after I get the lable.I'd just order this directly through Eddie Bauer if you're going to! Worth the price difference. Maybe even think about going to a store to get it.Product = greatCustomer service = almost not worth the coat

I am 6' and 200 lbs. I was looking for a long coat to replace my NorthFace. I wanted a quality coat that would last the next ten years. I wore this coat on the day of our huge storm and despite the downpour, I stayed warm and dry. The sleeves are a great length and I love the cuff to keep the cold out. The pockets are lined as well and it fits perfectly around my waist. I would definitely recommend.

We recently bought a place which sits on the lake so it’s 10 degrees cooler in the winter with heavy winds. Did my research and long winter coats and took a gamble. I absolutely love this coat. You feel completely insulated and cozy. I’m 5’1 108lbs and I usually go with a Medium and I’m glad I did! It’s perfect and stylish! ❤️❤️
