Design Toscano CL55670 Detest The Rest Gargoyle Statue, Faux Gray Stone Finish

The poly resin this statue is made from is very lightweight so you don't have to worry about setting it on an indoor shelf. I purchased the smaller of the two sizes and he's still pretty big. The statue came very securely packaged in a fitted styrofoam insert inside a standard cardboard shipping box, and the appearance was flawless with no scuffs or scratches from shipping.

The weight is the only thing. I Would have rather they were hollow to add sand. As it is I am going to drill the plastic and add weights. I bought 2. One had rubber pads in the bottom other did not. Wife loves them and they are cute. They’re protecting the house as we speak.

Love this piece! I’m not sure what I expected it to be made of, but it’s resin. It should be durable, but I think I would have liked it to be a little heavier duty. All in all, very pleased with “Gunther.”

We purchased this to sit in our new garden. We were very excited. we love how he looks and thought he was perfect. Now that he has been sitting in the backyard for a couple of weeks, we noticed the paint is flaking from off of his head. For the price of this, and since it's advertised as outdoor, I would expect better quality. ESPECIALLY from Design Toscano, as we own several items from Design Toscano already. We are looking to purchase several different Gargoyles for outside, but now I'm a little worried to spend the money on them from this store.

Hilarious. This was a gift for my wife's boss. It fit nicely on the cheese tray she created for him. It was a bit of a joke relating to the gargoyles we had seen on cathedrals in Europe (Strasbourg, Cologne), that the boss wished for them on the rain gutters of his new store. So, this. It looks durable, however lightly cast in polystyrene over fiber. Plus, the look on the boss' face when he opened his Christmas gift, just priceless!

This thing is pretty cool looking.

Friend bought them for me, I thought they would be a little larger and the coating was scrached but they still look good.

I got this and two other gargoyles last summer (August, I believe). The other two are fine. I rinsed and dried them all and put them indoors last fall. When I took them out to put in the garden last month, this one looked like this. They were not inexpensive! I’m so disappointed. It looks like there is no warranty recourse, so I guess I will try re-painting it myself.

Nice sized garden gargoyle. I've bought a few from this manufacturer and this one is my favorite. Looks like it's made of real stone!

It was a little smaller than I expected. But I'm in love with it. It's beautiful.I put it on the stairs going into my house and I get so many compliments on it.
