Works great but needs a different washer and nut
This cutting wheel works very good but you have to buy a washer and nut kit from King Arthur to use on a side grinder the nut on most grinders will not secure it adequately. King Arthur sells a kit that also includes a wrench .

Be careful with metal objects
Have to be super careful with this disc. I chopped off all my cutting spikes on the outside of my disc when I barely scraped against my metal vice grip sanding some wood. Any contact to metal while spinning is sure to obliterate the durability of this disc.

Aggressive but precise contour carver
This is mounted on my grinder for use in roughing out carving blanks. It's very controllable and being able to actually see how it is affecting the surface at the point of contact is a great feature. Even though this is the coarse model, I can make fairly precise cuts, and the surface does not need a huge amount of sanding or repair to make it ready for finishing. A very nice tool for creating/adjusting contours in wood surfaces.

It worked like a charm and a lot faster than I'd expected ...
I used it the other day. I had a stud that stuck out too far into the bathroom I'm remodeling. I was going to borrow a plane to shave it down when I thought of using this tool. It worked like a charm and a lot faster than I'd expected and was not difficult to control as I'd feared also.

Absolutely a Must for any Wood Sculptor
This tool is strong, effective and very versatile. It's a definite must for any wood sculptor. I pretty much have just kept in on my grinder since i first attached it because i use it so often, and for so many different applications. It allows for a wide range of angles and motions while cutting into your piece, and the holes in the wheel help minimize the spray of dust that usually accompanies grinding into wood. I JUST LOVE IT!!!

great tool. didnt last as long as hoped.
worked very well, didn't last as long as I would have expected. It was the perfect tool for this particular job, but only just lasted through the job which was 30 ish feet of log posts and rails

I am using this disc to carve a rocking horse ...
I am using this disc to carve a rocking horse. Takes off wood quickly and effectively. It allows me to have precise control and once done I will only have to do relatively light sanding to get rid of any marks.
