It would have been nice to receive all of the parts to put this item together.
I was very disappointed in this seller, I have received no answers to my questions except a $12.00 credit. I can't assemble this unit without couplings to sit the shelves in place extending the unit to its maximum height, all of the shelves I have like this set have a part that they are not sending nor is it listed on the instruction sheet. We have 8 identical units and they all have this part that is missing. I have yet to get an answer, and the unit sits unassembled in my supply room which is a problem since I have very little space.

Buy from Shelving . Com
This is terribly made. First, the shelving is the lowest quality pressed wood fiber board I have ever seen. It not only smeels horrendous, but it is so fragile, that it will likely be corner chipped out of the box. To make this worse, the corner posts are only half as tall as needed. To get the full height, you have to couple the posts using the horizontal beams for the shelves by putting one rivet on the top and one on the bottom. This is super unsturdy and will likely fall on you during assembly (fact).Furthermore, the coupled shelf ensure that the shelf height is fixed, therefore really limiting how you use the shelves. You may not be able to use all 5 shelves if you have higher items, becuase the middle shelf is fixed. The down side, the 5 shelves are needed to ensure proper stability. If you are looking for this type of storage, I highly encourage you to use shelvign dot com, or an alternative that sells individual parts. You will pay around the same, and get full length corner beams while also avoiding the chemical smells of the particle board. An 84" high version is only 14$ per post.

Hasn't collapsed yet; moved between rooms.
Assembled as easily as its cousins, and it hasn't collapsed under the weight I've put on it.Addendum: after having six of these for a year, and loading each with hundreds of pounds of weight, I had to relocate all six: remove the contents, disassemble the shelves, move the shelves, and re-assemble them again, re-fill the shelves.I’ve had no problems with the shelves.

SHELVES MADE OF PARTEX - CHEAP PRODUCT AND NOT GOOD FOR HEALTH
This shelf should not be used indoors as it has parts material types of shelves which are substandard for this day and age. The manufacturer could have used modified wood instead which are cheap but at least does not fall apart in grind pieces. I have not returned it because I will leave it in the garage so I am fine. I had expected at least a good wooded shelf. Also, it's not as sturdy as it looks. If it added an extra membrane in the center that would make a significant difference.

no couplers in package and sold out everywhere.
I bought this not only for the price, but its size. The images show the ability to stack posts onto other posts to make a tall shelving unit. It was easy to assemble by snapping the shelves into place on the posts. Until the instructions say "use the couplers" to stick the top portion on the bottom portion. There are no couplers. Everything image and instructions wise, shows couplers. I thought they maybe fell out of the box. Nope. The manufacturer does not include couplers in the box. You go online and ask the seller, there is nothing they can do. You look to see just how expensive it would be to get them yourself. The cheapest (for the manufacturers part), was ~$8 or so. Except there are none. Every website says sold out. Only ebay had them and for $50+. Not going to spend the price of the item on couplers that should be in the friggin box. To get around this, you have to have the top sit on the bottom. You have to put your "middle" shelf one or two holes down on the top of the post (the bottom parts posts). You then assemble the top portion and place it nestled inside the bottom posts and sitting on the middle shelf. This is wobbly. It leans. Does not look sturdy. I fear placing heavy things on top. I have a classic car in the way if that shelf decides to tumble. Now i have to buy braces to hold the shelf to the wall. Do not buy this product.

DO NOT BUY! Terrible and inconsistently machined bars
After an hour of trying to assemble this product (it should have taken about 20 minutes alone) I gave up and called Amazon. The connectors were so tight you had to bend the bars to get them in. Forget a rubber mallet, nothing shy of Mjollnir would have set them in fully. The shelves themselves appear to be 1/4" or 3/8" pressboard and none fit my shelves snugly. I'm pretty sure the bottom one would have fallen out with anything more than papers on it. This item should not be bought

Buckled under minimal pressure
I ordered a second rack for my garage and while putting this on together, I got the coupler on and went to install the bar to creat a shelf and it buckled. I’m not that strong so there is no way I’m putting anything on this to have it buckle and fall on my car. Also, I hit reorder for the shelf I ordered before and got a different color and this one had couplers where the other one didn’t.

These shelves do the job
I bought these after reading the reviews stating that this kit didn't come with the couplers that previous kits did. It's true, they don't. It works fine, but I took 1 star off because of this. Don't worry, it still works, but differently. This kit requires that you put a shelf (or at least the bars to support the shelf) where the top and bottom of the vertical supports. In my pictures you can see where I did this prior to putting the rest of the shelves where I wanted them. I have other shelves with the couplers and they are different in that you cannot put a shelf where the top and bottom vertical supports meet, and they do seem to be slightly more stable than these without the couplers. The plywood shelves also seem to be weaker (thinner?) than those in my other shelves, but maybe it's because my other shelves are only 18" deep and these are 24". All this being said, I would buy them again.
