The RV Book Paperback – January 30, 2007

Is a good resource to have around, maybe a little dated, now that we have the internet at our finger tips with the cell phones, but none the less a good purchase.

This is a great book, very comprehensive and straightforward. My one concern is that the author needs an editor. Grammar issues, while not frequent, are noticeable.

A must if, you're THINKING (or JUST GOT)of getting a RV !!! There IS a TON of "DATA to KNOW" about the RV WORLD !!!!!TOO Little Info. "WILL" ........COST YOU, TOO MUCH MONEY! NOT GETTING the BEST RV, for your dollar, BUYING TOO MUCH RV (TOO Heavy).....for YOUR Truck OR SUV ???`My SUV can tow 5000lbs. so, I have to RETHINK .......the RV, "I WAS" going to buy !!!

This is a really well-written and comprehensive introduction to RVs and RVing. You could find most of the information that's in this book in the various RV forums on the Internet, but it would take you months - and you'd still likely have unanswered questions. Polk does a good job of explaining the essentials in language that is easy to understand yet does not talk down to the reader. Highly recommended.

I purchased this book (Kindle edition) last night after previewing and viewing the Table of Contents. When I downloaded and started looking at the book, I found that there is NO Table of Contents in the Kindle Edition. While the book seems to be very useful and comprehensive, the lack of a Table of Contents will make it difficult to find information in what is essentially a reference book. Wishing I'd coughed up the $$ and bought the paper edition ...

I really liked this book. Good refresher for me but I still learned a few new things from the expert.

Decent book but could use more pictures and color photos too. I brought a used copy for $.01 plus $4 shipping. It was well worth it. Get the RV Bible too for the same price. RV education 101 DVDs has good info but not the best quality video. The best one so far is trailers and 5th wheels for about $6 used. Class A video has good info but over exposed video. This series could have better media quality for the retail price.

We recently purchased a Class A Motorhome. We were looking for information on what to do, what to check, how to drive and tow a vehicle. These videos were complete and to the point. Well worth the money.

Easy to read and understand. If you are new to RVing this book will help you save money before and after you buy your RV.

This little book is full a advice on maintaining my motor home -- a worthwhile purchase.
