HERMA Book cover film colourless width 40 cm, 50m length

This is 40 cm without glue and perfect for medium and smaller books as you can turn small books and use less plastic and so save on it. Also the thickness is perfect for ordinary size books, much like the one you get in bookstores in 3 meter length (which when you use must always throw away a litlle piece which is left over - but with this 25 m. length, that problem is avoided.)Get the 50 cm wrap for larger books - it is also thicker, at least the one I bought was.I am very glad for this wrap, and wish it could be gotten in 50 meters as well.You need to learn how to put this wrap with a few pieces of tape and by cutting of a piece in the middle, up and down after the plastic has been secured with two small pieces of tape inside the book cover - let go of 1 or 2 mm, so it is not too tight, you will notice why if you don't, then cut off a piece like a U, up and down too, so the plastic can be folded into the cover, push plastic into the corner, put tape on only plastic, not on book, then when done, remove the two small tapes that secured the plastic to the book while working with it. The two securing tapes can be touched with the fingers before to put them there as fingers are always oily, so they don't take paper off the book when you remove them. This takes two minutes to comlete when you know how to do it.I think you can figure out how to do it well. Just slack the plastic a bit when you attach the first two pieces of tape on the book and plastic, inside the long cover, in the middle. Cut off a bit up and down, fold in, fold more in the corners, put tape at the corners (inside the cover of the book of course). When done, remove the two first pieces of tape tht are attached to the book and would ruin the book if they stay, as glue gets sticky on the paper after a while. Done! This book will never become ugly.

If you are looking for a cover that has quality, it will protect your book and it won't be a nightmare to fit in, look no further.I've used the sticky version before and the result was always a lot of stress, low quality product and a mess on my books.This product on the other hand it isn't sticky and I didn't want it to be, it is much thicker than the sticky covers found on the market and does the job really well without damaging your book sor driving you crazy.Note that you are talking about 25m of film.. So in the end it will be much cheaper than the low quality sticky ones.

I like to cover my hardback books with plastic protectors but I've run out. Saw this and decided to give it a try. Not completely transparent (misty) but does the job for a fraction of the price - just cut to size.

Regret buying this as it is so flimsy and doesn't even work on book covers. Tapes don't stick on this cheap material. It's more like a food cellophane than an actual book protector. It's so soft, it doesn't stay in shape enough to even give you a chance to stick tape on it. And even if you managed, the tape won't stick for 3 seconds without falling off. Whoever thought that this is a book cover must be a prankster. Also, this wrap is not clear. It’s so translucent that it obscures some words on book covers. Do not buy.

This material was difficult to use, in practice. It does not, for instance, hold its shape very well - so creasing it around the outline of the book was problematic. And then, sticky tape does not like sticking to it. Unlike the clear plastic material I used to bind textbooks some 30 years back (and which is still intact) this feels flimsy and insubstantial. I used it because I could not easily locate anything else, but I do not think that this plastic film represents progress.

So glad I got this roll, great quality plastic. My children's books looks great and they feel very proud of it being covered.

I bought this to back my university books with. I bought this as the sticky-back plastic is very difficult to apply and i had used something similar to this but was bought in Ireland and havent been able to find since. This was not a very good alternative to the roll i found in Ireland.This plastic is extremely thin, it’ll only protect books against the most minimal of damage. The previous roll I bought also had two lines of adhesive tape running along the top and bottom of the roll, making application of the plastic far easier. The plastic is also not properly see through, but has more of a ‘frosted-glass’ effect - like what you’d find on your granny’s toilet door, which isn't ideal when you want to actually read the title of the book that is being backed.

Does the trick of protecting quality books very nicely. And that is why I purchased the plastic.

Bien, forro resistente. Se corta bien, se adapta bien al libro, en principio no se rompe con facilidad…

Utilisé pour les quelques livres de la rentrée de mon fils en CP (dont quelques uns avec des doubles couvertures etc ...Assez solide pour ne pas s'embêter lors de la couverture, ne se déchire pas pour rien.Attention, pas parfaitement lisse, mais je trouve ça mieux au toucher.

Ottimo il materiale sottile ma resistente.Ottima la finitura goffrata su una delle superfici.Ottimo il formato, 40 cm (di solito sono più alti) è l'altezza ideale per ricoprire praticamente tutti i libri, non perdere tempo a rifilarla e non sprecare materiale.

Bra bokplast med fin färg! Har ingen vidhäftning. Det är inget problem för min del då jag inte efterfrågade det. Bra produkt som gör det den ska.
