These really work and are more secure than over the boat straps
Love them. Easy to install. Just drill one hole for each clamp. Easy to use. Good product.

East to use, strong hold.
Installed these on the light trailer for my 16' x 48" aluminum jon boat. They are much easier to use than the transom straps I had before. They are ridiculously easy in action-- push the release, pull the strap up, hook to the gunwale, then crank the ratchet a few times to tighten the strap. Unhooking is even easier: push the release, pull the hook off then drop it. It rolls up and waits patiently for the next use.Installation was pretty straightforward. You do have to have a clear spot on the frame, about six inches gives you plenty of room. You will have to drill fairly heavy metal, with a largish hole. You'll need the correct sized bit and a drill big enough to hold the bit.

Durable and fast boat tie down.
Far superior to old snap over tiedowns. Stainless steel model model still working after 3 seasons in salt water.

You can buckle your belt, but can you buckle your boat?
I got some float pods welded to the back of my boat and the transom straps weren't working out. I got these, and I should of bought them years ago. There slick and worth the money.

These are very very good boat tie downs .
I had to wait forever to get these but I’m glad I did. These are the nicest tiedowns I’ve ever seen they retract right into the housing very nicely. They are breeze to put in as well. We’ll see how long they last. I highly recommend these.

Works great for a Jon Boat.
I wound up drilling the mounting holes bigger to accommodate a larger shorter bolt.

Well Worth the Money
I am so glad that I don't have to clamp down that strap anymore. These are so convenient and worth the money. I would encourage anyone to get these. Must Buy.

Five Stars
The best buckle for securing a drift boat. Fits a Clackacraft nicely.

For those who need to know (because this horrible ad does not tell you)
Little more heavy-duty than I require, but they work well enough. Sticky release after two outings to a lake down a dirt road. May not hold-up in the remote conditions I travel. For those who need to know (because this horrible ad does not tell you), it is a pair (i.e. two) of the boat buckles.
