it luggage World's Lightest Los Angeles Softside Upright, Navy/Blue, 3-Piece Set (22/29/32)

So I had to downsize my carry on luggage for two reasons - my older luggage was obviously bigger than anything anybody else was taking aboard, and I was beginning to have trouble lifting my old one loaded overhead on my own. So I wanted something super lightweight that didn't cost the earth. I bought this one a couple of months ago for about $53 to check it out. Wow is it lightweight.. 3.63 lbs. And I was surprised how much space it had inside. Since the handles are wide and along the sides, the suitcase inside is very deep. I took as much as I usually haul around and had room to spare - in a smaller suitcase. Go figure. AND (huge), it was easy to lift overhead and put in the bin by myself. I'm 60ish, 5'3" and not a gym bunny so lifting things can sometimes be an issue. Not with this suitcase. Its' great! Now the handles - on the upside, once extended (and unlike other reviews I did not have an issue with comfortably extending the handles) they offer stability that the narrow handles on other suitcases don't. The bag doesn't fall over or tilt when rounding corners, issues I've always had with fully packed bags with narrow handles. The only thing I would improve on these handles is for the handles to lock while extended (which they don't) so that if I push the bag instead of pull - like on escalators, these handles will slide down as if closing. No biggie, just something to know. Also, because they are wide, it will tend to hit you in the back of the leg while walking unless you hold the handle a bit to one side. Those are small negatives that are certainly outweighed by the positives at least for me.

I love this little carry-on! I purchased it for use on an international discount airline. Being a discount airline, they charge exorbitant fees for checked luggage and carry-on luggage is capped at a certain weight. I was determined not to check a bag on my trip both because I didn’t want to pay extra fees, and because I didn’t want to lose my luggage during flight transfers.IT advertises this bag as the lightest bag out there, and while I don’t know if that’s for sure true, this is definitely the lightest bag I was able to find after a very thorough search. It weighs SUBSTANTIALLY less than other bags, we are talking at least 5-8 lbs. which…when the maximum weight is 22 lbs., is a big difference. I was able to pack everything I needed for a week’s stay in Denmark in October (warm clothes necessary) and now I use it all the time for travel.I went from a person that normally checked a bag, to a person that only checks a bag as a last resort. Because of the wider handle, there is more space inside of the bag for your stuff. The wheels work great and I’ve had no problems fitting it in overhead compartments, even on smaller planes. I have had to gate check it on a few planes that are so small they don’t have any overhead storage, and it’s held up extremely well with all the roughhousing checked bags go through.All in all, it’s a fantastic bag and I couldn’t be happier with it! The color is really great as well, I’ve gotten a lot of compliments from airport strangers on it.

Just received this and I thought a picture of the handle might help. I almost didn’t buy it because of reviews that said the handle is too short. It is the same length as our larger cabin carry on. This is super light weight and seems roomy inside. I bought 4 for everyone in my family so we can have carry on for Ryanair strict sizes. I searched everywhere for the size and I’m really glad I didn’t pay attention to the review with the picture of the short handle. I’m 5’8” and I can roll it easily. I will update after our 12 day trip flying on 3 different airlines. Fingers are crossed they hold up.** Update ** All 4 of our suitcases held up great and we put them through a lot!! They fit perfectly in overhead luggage bins on Icelandair, Ryanair, and Norwegian. We stuffed them full!! No broken zippers. We hauled them up and down five flights of stairs, rolled them along streets, sidewalks, and cobbled walkways and for over a mile at one time. Rolled them on and off trains, metros, and escalators. Lifted them by the top and side handles. We even occasionally lifted them by the telescoping handle to get on and off escalators quickly. I honestly can't believe how well they held up especially for the price. And they fit easily in small cars, we had them in taxis and a rental car and they all 4 fit in the trunks just fine.Note on colors--the black and white checked has a gray interior, the red (seems a little pinkish at times especially the wheels) has a gray interior, the purple has an burnt orange interior, and the green has a burnt orange interior.

My bag just arrived and I am really happy! I have been looking for a bag that truly fits US and international shuttle service carry-on limits, and is lightweight (so I am not using half the max weight limit for just the bag). Have been really frustrated by other companies listing measurements without including wheels and handles, or giving the interior measurement instead of exterior. They know what we info we need!! The exterior measurements are exactly 21.5x14x9 at the widest points. Note that the version of this bag listed as EU is wider by an inch, European Union standards, but may not work for US airlines. There is seriously so much room inside!! I only use two sturdy wheels vs four spindly spinners: so much better for on the street and leave more room for packing. This is built strictly for carry-on. I would never try to check it. If an airline tells me not enough room overhead, they will have to truly gate check it or it stays with me! Was worried about the wide handle because I usually stick my smaller personal item on top over the handle. It is wide but a back pack laid sideways with straps around the handle fits fine and doesn't fall through. It does not expand, but I don't need that feature as it would then not meet size limits. Four stars because I haven't used it yet, 5 stars will require it surviving actual travel.

I really like this bag. It is definitely very light. I would have given full 5 stars to durability and sturdiness for this bag but I have only tested it for one trip. The bag initially didn't look very sturdy but after my trip I can confirm that the bag can survive rough and tough trips.

The handle was broken when it arrived. It as a gift to my husband so we were both disappointed with it.

Don’t be fooled by it’s light weight, this little fella can hold plenty - take it from someone who never travels light. I’ve already field-tested it and I couldn’t be happier. Rolling it around, lifting it and packing’s been a breeze. Price is only a fraction of what I was going to pay for a similar suitcase at a department store. Highly recommend!

Beautiful feather-light carry-on. Love how roomy it is on the Inside without the handle bars running through it. Daughter has stolen it from me. Might need another one.
