Teambuilding
A very handy little pocket manual with some very helpful information, lists and forms to use. Very easy to read, with no "over-the-head" jargon to process.

Was hoping for deeper thought.
Not a ton of information, but sufficient as an accessory to other leadership books. Just touches the basics, nothing deep.

Back to basics
Many books in the area of managerial studies tend to be inflated with not so useful examples, repetitions of ideas, and such. This item in the Pocket Mentor series is simply an exercise in getting back to basics. Simple ideas we tend to forget in the hassle of the daily grind, stated simply and concisely. Straight to the point, small, easy to review again in 5 minutes. That said, leading teams is a rarely understood discipline. Many "leaders" let teams unattended, others only understand leadership in terms of being hard on team members, considering them lazy by nature. All of them are doomed to fail. This book emphasizes the human factor, motivations, how to properly lead by listening, coaching, understanding. Those are the hardest things to do, but this little book will point you in the right direction.I recommend that this kind of book be underlined, write your own notes on the margin or the pages provided for that...that will make it much easier to come back to it when you need to refresh your idea, "reset" your point of view, or go back to the right track when circumstantes demand it.
