Dr. Horne is, and always will be, ...
Dr. Horne is, and always will be, my Hero!. I am eternally grateful for his tireless works which excavate and expose truths that were to remain buried. Unlike he, I am not an intellectual scholar. However, I am intensely interested in TRUTH. Dr. Horne is a Truth Teller. I am informed by studying his and other works.. I query, "why do world oppressors want to erase historical facts and propagate lies? Why are we historically told that lands were discovered, as if they were not already inhabited by human beings? Clearly, wealth is defined by a minority within a minority. Capitalism, the great merchant master, continues to enslave its sustainers. The thing is, the sustainers are no longer just black. They are "brainwashed worker ants" of every hue, working to buy the illusion created by capitalism.. Wealth is not defined by stuff that clogs the pores of the earth. However, I digress. This, and all Dr. Horne's books, painfully, fills in the blanks. I will update my review upon conclusion of the read I look forward to discovering an ancestral connection with my Cuban cousins.

This is one of the best books on both early race issues and the relationship between Cuba and the US. Horne presents a deep historical and analytical study that will challenge and add even if you think you are already knowledgeable of these events.
