This is my 2nd one-love it
Love this. Makes cleaning & reaching high places in my home easy. It does loose feathers in time hence this is my 2nd one in past 4 years. Will buy again. I read somewhere ostrich feathers better to clean with than turkey feathers which if it doesn’t say ostrich than turkey is probably what you’re getting. To clean it i use warm warm & shake it out. Dries quickly out in sun.

Downtown Abbey was onto something!
For once great grandmother was right! Who knew all those Downton Abbey maids were wielding the best housekeeping tool for the 2oth century and beyond? I resisted feather dusters for years, because I thought they couldn't possibly to a thorough job. I was wrong.I recently had expensive blinds installed all over my house. I asked the installer the best way to clean them, because I would always get a dusty build-up that defied removal by my Sw*ff*r and lambs wool dusters. He told me that a plain Ostrich feather duster was best, because the other two kinds of tools both left a residue that actually attracted MORE dust, like silicone and lanolin. The feathers have static electricity, which also attracts dust but doesn't leave a residue. So I broke down and bought one with an extension wand since some windows are tall. This does a great job and is so much easier and faster! I hated dusting, because I had to pick up every item to dust. A feather duster glides over everything and really does the job in less than half the time. Then I just take it outdoors and shake it hard to get rid of the collected dust. No more refills. The extension hand is a necessity for high spots like cornice mouldings, windows, baseboards, etc, but take the handle off for regular dusting.

Reaches Everywhere.
Buy one of these now! This duster reaches everything, high or low. No more stooping, bending, or gyrating to reach the nooks and crannies. I had to replace a long-handled microfiber duster and thought I would try this. What a difference. This duster is very flexible, doesn't knock things over or move them. I did most of the house with the duster attached to the handle, for the few shelves I needed something shorter, the duster easily detaches from the handle. Using this duster probably cut my house cleaning time by 45 minutes. It does shed, like all genuine feather dusters and I don't see that you can replace just the duster when needed, I guess you have to replace the whole thing. Still, I will never switch to another duster. I love this thing!

This is a lifesaver of a tool.
This is an awesome feather duster. Being that it is my first official "feather" duster, I can't say enough about it. It is very soft and handles the dusting of the over 1,000 beer bottle collection that is in our home. it also works really well on all other dusting needs in the house. The extension is a must if your have paddle fans or other items that are tough to reach without a chair or small ladder. I would highly recommend this item to anyone who spends their time dusting.

work well but broke during assembly due to manufacturing errors
The top part screwed in & cracked because it didn't stop once it was tight. I noticed the size between the top of the pole & the feather head were different so the feather head cracked because it was took small to screw in. Rather than return, I used electrical tape to tape on the top. It still telescopes. Though, for the price the make you pay, it shouldn't break.

good product
I have been in the residential cleaning business for 10 years now. This is not the first time I have purchased products like this. I am happy with it and it does the job. The only con is the same con with all the other "newer model heads" Their just aren't the same amount of Ostrich feathers in them as in older models and the head is just a bit too soft to do the job ideally. It is a good product, but would really like to see a higher grade or better quality head with heavier feathering involved. As a professional, I would happily pay for the increase in quality.

Long arm duster super!
Love our new long arm duster....telescopes and enables me to reach high up into our ceiling lights and corners to dust virtually every high nook and cranny....shutters, fireplace, top of armoirs etc. etc. Extremely useful and nice quality. Bought two, one for upstairs for for down.

Would have been a great duster.
I was excited to get this. The long pole was going to be convenient and the duster head was pretty full. However, when I went to use it for the first time, all the feathers were just breaking apart. I spent two minutes trying to dust with it, and ten minutes picking up tiny feather pieces. What a waste of money. I won't be buying this brand of duster ever again. :(
