5 Gallon White Bucket & Gamma Seal Lid - Food Grade Plastic Pail & Gamma2 Screw Seal Tight Lid (Green)

*update*Even my husband could not get the gamma lid onto the bucket. TOGETHER WITH US BOTH STANDING ON IT we could not get the lid on the bucket, and now some part of it has come loose, an important gasket part I’d suppose. (See picture). I’m sending this garbage back.You better have a 200+ lb person to sit on this to get the lid on the stupid bucket. I am a ~150 lb woman and I cannot get this thing on here by even JUMPING on it. Gamma lids work well when you have them on the bucket. Would have been nice if the seller would have just put it on there!!

THIS IS A GREAT IDEA! First of all, I am a middle aged woman and I was able to push the Gamma lid on with the heel of my hands on other lid and bins I have purchased that were not already together- with NOT MUCH EFFORT AT ALL!But it is much more convenient to buy already together, especially for older folk... The lids twist easy on and off and not ants, moths, mice or men can get in! :)It fits in the back of my Jeep where mice and squirrels are notoriously getting into and stealing my snacks! This is their show stopper! Regular plastic bins did not stop my furry friends. they either popped the tops or when bolted down, chewed the thin plastic immediately. It has been in the Jeep a few days and so far so good. I do not think they can smell any food through this air tight container- Perfect!And I highly recommend purchasing from the folks at Poly Farm LLC. They shipped fast, in a great solid box, no chance of a ding, and a professional note enclosed.Seriously, there are endless ideas- like Christmas cookies before they go in the tins, flour and sugar, bird seed, bulk food items, food you want hidden (especially for those dieting :).

I’m not really sure if I have a defective one or something but unfortunately I have to say that while it appears to be well constructed and looked good initially, the lid isn’t water (not air) tight. I purchased this bucket for use as a primary fermenter bucket for brewing and I thought it would be great. I installed an airlock and filled it up with mash. Pretty soon I noticed there weren’t any bubbles coming out of the airlock. I opened the bucket and the yeast was furiously bubbling away so they air mist have been escaping by some other means. After my primary fermentation ended, I filled the bucket with some water, turned it upside down and saw water pouring out from between the two parts of the lid. I tried again but this time got it as tight as I physically could. Still water seeped through. The o ring is in tact and totally fine but the thing just isn’t water or air tight. It’s a sturdy bucket but for 25$ I could buy five Home Depot buckets with lids and they’d work just as well.

We bought these buckets for storage food, such as wheat, rice, beans. They are well-made and we bought the screw on top style so we could get into them easily. We would buy these again. And probably will buy more

I hesitated to pay for this lid but shouldn't have. It's incredibly sturdy and functional - so easy to get on and off compared to other models, actually a pleasure to use. I'm using this to store about 20 lbs of oats; we go through a lot and this will keep bugs and moisture out. No real smell to the bucket, nice looking, fun to have the color choice. I'd buy again for other storage of staples.

Using these buckets to do long-term flour storage. The buckets are great and when I contacted customer service about a small issue they were very responsive and took care of it right away. Would highly recommend and plan on purchasing again.

Exactly what I needed to hold my dog's food up at our ski house. We always have mice getting into containers where food is stored. This product solved the problem perfectly.

This fits the bill. I have a kitchen compost but for summer, I needed something with a screw on lid that kept odors to a minimum. It works great!
