Good book about Ibn e Taimiyyah. Quite complicated. Need background in philosophy and Islamic theology. Not an enjoyable read. Mire like a textbook

Probably the best book on political Islam in the English Language. Provides a very comprehensive overview on the vacuum within traditional Islamic sciences in relation to political power and institutions (and how this came to be) and one traditionalists (Ibn Tayyimiah) approach at addressing this vacuum.
