36" x 15 ft. Clear UV Blocking Window Film

The film is very thin and does not stretch. Which means it's easy to crease and then you'll permanently have imperfections when you apply it over your glass surface. If you must have a completely clear UV blocking solution, this does the job, but you need a perfectly clean surface, or every imperfection will show. Thankfully I just needed this in a screen printing shop, so it didn't need to look perfect and I was fine with some creases or bubbles here and there. But I would be hesitant to install this in a residential setting. I'd look for something thicker with more play/stretch during the application process. This stuff is not forgiving at all. 4 stars because it still does the job and shipped quickly.

Average. I ended up covering two large windows to protect my furniture and reduce the amount of heat being drawn into the room. I was hoping that it would also reduce the amount of heat being introduced but it did not. Had that happened I would have been elated. I checked the UV blockage by using UV beads. They change color based on exposer. I tested one treated window with an untreated window side by side. It does block UV. :)

The directions to apply the film were easy to follow. I found using a sharp x-acto knife to trim the film provided a nice finish. It also helped to have a large flat surface to prep the film before applying it to the glass.Check your order when you receive it. The companies policy requires you to check your order within 5 days. I didn't receive 15' of film, the roll was short by 2.5'. When I contacted the company they were willing to replace the missing film but I would need to pay for the cost of shipping since it was beyond the 5 days. Customer service was fast to respond.4 star rating is due to the order not being accurate and troubles with customer service.

I can't say how effective the UV blocking is, but I accept their claim -I think it's blocking 85% of UV, I'm not sure. I can say the application instructions and procedure are great; I've only done one window so far, but it went very smoothly. I used lots of solution to be sure I could adjust the position, but didn't need to. I did get a few pieces of dust in one corner, which apparently settled before I applied the film. I suppose if I wet down my floors first to keep the dust down (or maybe if I vacuumed every few weeks) I could probably get a perfect application, but I'm not that fussy. Nobody will notice it from six feet away.

This is very tricky to apply and almost impossible to get all the bubbles out. It takes a lot of work and finessing to get it to look invisible. I did my best, but it was hard. thing I wish I knew beforehand: DO NOT cut with the exacto knife until ALL the bubbles have been removed. If you cut before hand the film clings to the window and traps the bubbles inside. This was much more difficult to handle than other brands I used at my previous apartment.Now that I know the trick, I would buy again to finish the rest of my windows, but I wish the first ones turned out better.

It was very easy to apply. Applied to several windows and two doors that had glass. Had to order a duplicate amount as I wanted to cover more glass and protect the interior items from the suns rays.

I tested the UV protection by cutting a sheet of black construction paper into thirds. One part I folded into the blind on the coated window, one I placed on a table in front of a non-coated window (same side of house), and the last I put in a dark closet as a control. After a week or so I compared them. The control was still black, but the other two were faded equally. Am I doing something wrong with this test? Since I bought it for the UV protection, I am not pleased. I did another test with a piece of dark fabric. It also faded. This does not work for UV protection.As far as installation, I had to work quickly and wipe up the liquid immediately since my windows have a water-based finish and the extra water, if left alone too long, left marks on the finish. I did have several dust particles under the film, but nothing I couldn't live with had the UV protection actually worked.

Installation was much easier than most reviews had said. Follow the instructions and it will turn out just fine. Do need to super clean the window and scrape it with a razor. I skipped the razor and have several small bumps that were still stuck to the window.It did slightly darken the window and I think it deadened the sound ever so slightly.The main reason for my purchase was to deaden the sound and try to eliminate some condensation. Neither are advertised to help/solve either issue but stand to reason that it would help slightly. Waiting to see about the condensation.
