A great buy for women who want a little something new when it comes to their monologues. Great for anyone female between the ages of teen and up to their 60's. I definitely recommend this. I can't wait to give it a try myself! I've already read through a majority of it and I can easily say that I'm super excited to put this book to work. Great job! Can't wait to see other people using it as well!

I really enjoyed finding the greatest monologues for women in this book. From Chekhov to contemporary plays, you will find what you want, no matter how picky and nervous you are before the auditions. Just find the right monologue, go and audition.

The whole reason I bought this book was so that I wouldn’t have to scour the internet for one minute monologues and many of the monologues here are over 60 seconds. Even after finding many I liked, trying to omit the top or bottom sections of the piece is proving to be a challenge because you need the inclination of the characters emotions and the monologues are just too long. That being said - there are a lot of good ones from PUBLISHED PLAYS in here, which is what I needed.

This is perfect for any lady who needs a short and sweet, to the point monologue. It's worth the money.

I did a thorough review and search for material I needed for monologues and there were only a few that I liked or considered performing.

A must have for serious actresses!

I like a lot of the monologues in this book. I chose it because at the "cattle-call" auditions I attend I am only given 2 minutes to do a song AND a monologue. So you're really looking at a 45-50 second monologue if you want to even stand a chance of finishing both before they yell your time is up. That would be my only complaint of this book. Unless you are a speed talker, and I would discourage that if you are trying to put any feeling at all into your monologue, then these monologues are WAY to long. Even read at breakneck speed, they are at least 2 minutes. Of course you can cut out parts but that's why I bought this book, so they would make the logical cuts for me. Still, I do like the huge selection and I will get use out of this book.
