Reliable "old school" technology that has served well for 150 years
For 150 years this old-school, simple, reliable "beam" type torque wrench has worked just fine in industry, mechanic shops, and for home use.PROS: no moving parts, no trying to figure out if you've "set" it right, no waiting for the "click" and wondering if it's correct, no oiling and adjusting and fidgeting with complicated instructions, changing out batteries, etc. This is just simple, old-school tech that has worked just fine for generations.CONS: It is obviously not going to be as accurate as the electronic torque wrenches. If you are going to do precision work like installing cylinder heads on a high-compression expensive car engine or something that requires exact precision, then maybe don't use it. But for 99% of the work most people do at home, this is just fine.

Just what I needed.
I really like using these for low foot pounds things more than the click type, the click type can be unreliable but with these bad boys it was a breeze. They can be a little bit hard to read in certain situations but I love this thing.

Dependable
Helped me get the ticking sound out of my engine spark plugs. It reminds me of high school auto machines class in the 80s. Old school but always dependable and accurate

Good stuff
Needed an affordable torque wrench and this one fit the bill. Seems to work well...I've used it several times since I got it. Also from my research these gauge types seem to be more accurate

Beam type torque wrench
Seems like a nice product. Accuracy ? Not sure, but I guess the beam type wrenches do retain their integrity over time.
