Super Shield EZ-Cool Car Insulation Kit (Includes 200 Sq. Ft Insulation, 50' Foil Tape): Heat and Sound Automotive Insulation For Your Car Restoration Projects

I purchased a 200 sq ft roll to insulate my GM 3500 ext Van. So far I have been happy with the results.Delivery was prompt and undamaged. This insulation has met my expectations wonderfully. The roll was enough to cover the sidewalls and 2 layers on the roof and extra for 2 sidedoor windows 2reardoor windows. I can maintain a difference of at least 10 degrees cooler than ambiant in direct sunlight in Michigan August without using my Fantastic Fan, cooler w/fan running. Winter the Van heats up nicely. I did supplement the rear corners and upper perimeter bulkhead with batt. I mated insulation directly to outer sheetmetal using 3M 90 spray adhesive and foil tape provided for seams. Ample even spray coverage to both sheetmetal and foil insul is needed for good bonding. I used 3 and 1/2 cans. Allow 3 to 4 mins tack up. Don't give it much more.The one thing I would stress is leaving an air gap between the sheetmetal and headliner and inner wall material. This insul is quite easy to work with. I was ambivalent at first as to the performance, but not been disappointed.I have sound deadening asphalt foil (noico) in all my doors and Super Sheild EZ Cool over top of it. (again air gap between sheetmetal and door panels ). It is super quiet for a rattley 08 1ton Cargo Van.I want to stress this is NOT Reflectex bubble. This is dense foam core. It doesn't look like much but it does the job.Cost: I have about 200 into all materials. Folks can say all they want about Blue Styrene. Super-Sheild is a heck of lot easier to work with and does as good or better job IMO.

We are converting our camper van and used this as a thermal barrier after we applied our 3M Thinsulate insulation. We haven't been able to put it to the test yet but we're happy we applied it. It was easy to work with and a lot on the roll. We also cut to size our windows and use this to keep it cool.

Seems like it works as desired.
