Color:Red The purpose of this 7 foot Service Dog Hands Free Chrome Tag Leash from ActiveDogs is to train a dog work with you and adapt to your body movements. Made of 3/4" wide nylon, this high quality pet leash has an attached engraved chrome identification tag that reads 'Service Dog Do Not Pet." This is a well-made leash with sturdy all-metal hardware that helps identify a working service dog.One of the benefits of this cross body leash is that it gives you free movement of both your hands, so you can work attached to the dog and at the same time move independently from the dog. It is much easier to push a shopping cart, open doors, or pick up objects when you have both hands free. When using this lead, you direct the dog with your legs and body movements, while the lead comfortably rests across your shoulder and wraps under your arm.It is adjustable with different rings that are set into the leash so that the dog can be placed at different lengths away from the handler. This also gives the dog freedom to stop and lay down and rest when the lead is set on the closest snap ring. Matching collars are also available.Features:Made in the USA7' Length x 3/4" wideAdjustable2 color choicesChrome Engraved Service Dog TagService Dog vs. Therapy Dog: A service dog is for a person who is legally disabled and the dog must be trained to perform a task. The handler has public access rights with service dogs and they are protected under Federal ADA Law. A therapy dog is trained to meet the needs of others, such as a dog visiting nursing homes, hospitals, schools, etc. while doing pet therapy work. The handlers do not have ADA public access rights with therapy dogs and must have permission from an establishment to enter.

Mixed feelings.....
I will admit, I felt really dumb when I received this, because I couldn't figure out how to use it. I saw a few other reviews say the same. No directions came with it and I kept feeling like the service tag was upside down and I was really frustrated. The service tag is small, not very easy to see. It hangs more across your chest than near the dog. Finally I figured out the group of rings go closest to the dog if that helps anyone. I like that it's adjustable, but sometimes I feel it's too short, other times I feel too long. Maybe having more rings as options would've made me happier I'm not sure.Once I FINALLY figured out how to use it, the first month or so I did find it comfortable and really liked it. I'm not quite sure what it is but over time I feel like I'm constantly adjusting it on my shoulders and feeling it's less sturdy. It is starting to show wear. For the price point it was good, but I feel like I'm going to have to replace it soon which is a let down. If you have a dog that is already super well trainer on one of these it may be perfect especially for the pricing. Mine does great most of the time, but there are days she starts pulling and this is her first service lead. My dog is about 50lbs.Overall, it was a good purchase for me, since I was so overwhelmed which different service leads. I'll post pictures soon. If your dog is smaller this may hold up really well. I'm just not sure how long this is going to hold up (and look decent for me).

Great for people with hand disabilities!
I have a Service Dog and my disability is one that causes my hands to swell up and not function properly sometimes, so holding a leash can be quite difficult. This hands-free leash was a godsend for me! I can now keep my Service Dog by my side without having to worry about constantly dropping the leash. The only thing I would change about it is the option to choose a longer leash. Sometimes I need a longer one depending on what I’m doing. The length of this leash also depends on the height of both the dog and the human. So keep that in mind when buying one. I’m 5’4” and I have a Golden Retriever whose head comes to just above my knees. She’s able to lay down on the floor comfortably with a slack leash. She can also walk about 2-3ft away from me before the leash tightens.

Hands free leash
I absolutely love this leash. Many choices for the length of lead you want to give to your dog. Excellent option to replace a regular leash. This will be the last kind of leash I ever try out.I am still working with the dog to learn this leash and the latching it to her vest instead of her collar but she's picking it up quick. We've had it just under a week.Having a service dog and being able to have my hands free while doing anything outside of my home makes me very grateful that I have this option of leash. It's an amazing leash but it would have been nice to choose from other colors. My service dog is always confused for a boy. I purchase almost everything in raspberry pink or purple. (Just an idea.)Having a removable service dog plate would make the leash more versatile to use with other dogs.

Perfect!
This is perfect for what I need. My service dog is a labradoodle, so he’s tall enough that I feel comfortable walking with this the majority of the time. When he’s “free” on walks, I unclip the hands free portion and use it like a normal leash so he’s free to roam when pitying or something. It’s really sturdy and I love it! I do still hold the end sometimes, but his vest also has a traffic lead so I’m trying to get used to holding the lead instead of this leash. It’s just a habit and makes me feel more in control, even though I know it’s not necessary. ❤️❤️

Great leash but UPSIDE-DOWN plaque...
(3 Star due to quality control issue) Leash works great but I have one big complaint... Who does the quality control on these things?? The "Service Dog Do Not Pet" plaque is UPSIDE-DOWN!!!!! Seriously!?!? SMH. I didn't return it because I've enjoyed the leash itself and have had great silent communication with my dog with this leash. It keeps her exactly where she should be with no wandering though that's rare.

Works great once I figured out how to use it
The only thing I would say is include a one page description (not just a picture) of how to connect it.

Great piece of equipment
This is really well made. The extra loops give a lot of flexibility in how tight it is around your body or how long the line is for your dog to be next to you. my dog can even lay down next to me when I am standing with this leash. I also appreciate that the tag that says service dog is a very durable metal and the leash slides thru it instead of being open on each end where it could potentially come off. I really like this leash.

Nonsensical.
Nice material, but the system made absolutely no sense and no matter what I did there wasn't enough leash length or the plate was upside down. I'm going handmade to my measurements next time-- I wouldn't bother with this.
