Bayer Contour Next EZ Glucose Meter Kit

According to all the answers to questions, this meter is supposed to come with test strips, lancets etc. It doesn't. What I really hate about it is that it registers my blood sugar 10 points higher than my other machine. I tested it several times with different batches of test strips and it is higher. Not a good thing for people who are trying hard to get their numbers down. Don't waste your money. My old meter which is still a Bayer Contour Next is much better. I would recommend the non EZ.

A bit confusing at first but once you read the instructions it becomes clear. I ordered this because I get low blood sugar and my family has a history of diabetes so we are monitoring our levels. The shipping was fast, pricing was amazing. The box included a pouch to hold the supplies, 10 lancets, 10 test strips, the lancing device, fake blood to check to see if the monitor is working properly, and of course the monitor. Readings are very fast and accurate. The box also comes with a slip offering a deal for you to sign up and get an upgraded pouch, I just never did it. Thanks!Also, I love how the lancing device has adjustable drop size. And other brand lancets work for this device.

Bought these for my T1 diabetic husband, a switch from the One Touch that he's been using for years. The Contour Next is wonderful because it requires less blood on the test strip. I saw lots of reviews on this of reviewers that were upset because theirs did not come with test strips, but we ordered three of these and all of them came with test strips. Battery life has been great so far too. No complaints. I would recommend it.

I like the contour meters and test strips because if you somehow do not get enough blood on the test strip, it tells you you need more blood and gives you a few seconds to put more on it. This is a slightly simpler version of the Contour next glucose monitoring system but is as accurate. It is simpler in that after you put a drop of blood at the tip of test strip you get the results in 6 seconds. but it keeps the result for a good amount of time so you can mark it (apple) before meal, (core) after meal or pull the strip out and it shuts off but saves the result. It does not separate the results though. It will give you an overall average for 14, 30, and 90 days. If you want or need more details you will have to go with the Contour Next meter.

Like others have said, this glucose meter does not come with the 10 test strip and I also want to add, I brought the exact same model and box a year ago and the previous model came with the testing solution. I don’t understand why it wouldn’t because how would you even know if the product is actually accurate.Update April 2. 2019 l: before I start I want to mention I’m not diabetic, I brought this because I got worried about my glucose level since I live a sedentary life, and I eat like crap.....having said that, i tested this glucose meter after I had to buy my own test strips, I got various numbers(after fasting for 8 hours), 105, 95 and 90. These numbers were all 5 minutes apart from each other. I intend to buy the testing solution because either these numbers are off, or I’m indeed prediabtic, because just a year ago my blood glucose level from the doctor was 85, so not sure what happenedSo another update on the same day, I ate some breakfast, fruit smoothie, and just some toast with tomatoes since I wasn’t too hungry....after 2 hours I did another test and my blood glucose was 110 exactly.

I really like the Contour Next meter. It gives consistent readings and couldn't be easier to use. It comes with a nice case to keep everything together, and easily fits in a pocket. Results come fast and it doesn't need much blood for testing. Just make sure you buy Contour NEXT strips and not regular Contour strips with it!

Comes with an unbox glucose meter with nothing else , no strips no syringes no control solution. The seller states that they have the description with small words that it will come as an unboxed with nothing else . However the figure shown for the product shows the whole box , it is so confusing !! This is the first time that I wrote a bad review on amazon , not recommended
