IRS Enrolled Agent Exam Study Guide 2013-2014 Paperback – January 1, 2013

I have purchased PassKey last year but couldn't take exams for personal reasons.This year, before I ordered a new version, I have read PassKey and decided to look for other options.PassKey explains things in easier languages, which I liked and disliked at the same time - easy to understand concepts but getting used to those IRS-style sentences is necessary as well.So I came across this Fastfoward early this year. I liked it but I had to return it because it contained some wrong information.I purchased 2nd edition from their website plus some test bank options. It cost more but was worthy, since I have passed the first time, in 2 months, as I work full-time.This book doesn't have many practice exams (at all!) Their web site offers some free exams, which is not enough either.So, I'd recommend that you should go to their website and compare some bundle options (even the book itself) with Amazon, before placing an order.For the book, I think it has enough information to let you take and pass exams, as you don't have to know EVERYTHING to pass the exam.Other parts, just study more in depth through CE courses after passing the exam.If you have to know everything before taking exams(or at least more than what this book offers), Gleim would be better.

This was a tremendous relief to get this item for the cost. I'm enjoying the study material. I also wish the entire book was on cd which would make it even easier but also more costly.

This book is easy to read but need much more information to pass EA.

If you like outlines this will work for you. I like to maximize my learning.

This is a great book. Very comprehensive, and it also has online resources to provide more practice. I highly recommend this book - best "bang for the buck."

I just passed all three sections of the exam.I think the PassKey book was more relevant, better written, more comprehensive, and less expensive, and I didn't even use the latest edition.I did take the time to read at least part of each of the related IRS publications -- some of them are mind numbing!!!This was helpful in really understanding the test material.This book is not worth the price.

I am someone who has zero tax experience and did not study tax/accounting in college. WIth the fastforwardacademy bundle (unlimited practice questions, study bank, and text) I was able to pass Part 1 & 3 on the first try and I am taking part two in less than 30 days. The chapters can be a bit dry and overwhelming when first reading them, but once you begin to take practice questions, review your notes and question rationale and take practice test you are more than ready for the exam.
