Customer Service Leaves Foul Taste
After doing a fair bit of research I found that MHD was said to have one of the better Eames knock-offs at an attractive price point. While I need four of these chairs, I ordered one to confirm build quality before ordering the other three. The chair arrived two weeks after ordering, with some large scratches on the underside of the ottoman. It is obvious that these scratches did not occur when the chair was in transit for they had been roughly sanded and poorly filled, which in effect calls more attention to the flaws. Unfortunately I was vacationing when the chair arrived and I wasn't able to bring the issue to MDH's attention within their stipulated 24 hours of receiving window. I decided to email them just the same with a subsequent follow-up ten days later after not receiving a reply. Their response to the second query was to attack my integrity by saying, "the item could have been scratched by you or someone at your household." That's fine if they want to be cynical they can be cynical. I'll be buying my next three Eames chairs from Rove Concepts which is of a build similar quality and I wish MDH luck as they play their short game.

Don't know how to take any of these reviews considering none of them are "Verified Purchases"....

Reviews are most likely not real
What does every reviewer of this product have in common...besides all being written in the last 3 months?Every reviewer (save for one) has only reviewed this chair, and some form of dietary supplement. Coincidence? This chair may in fact be a high quality reproduction, but the amount of review spam seen here should make the buyer beware.

Totally clueless; never took an Art History course.
"In continuous production since the Bauhaus 50's movement..."Seriously, dude? The Bauhaus existed from 1919 to 1933. You're several decades off. Can't imagine how reliable the rest of your product description is. Caveat emptor, for sure.

Don't do it. Just buy a mid-century chair for $700 that looks nice and is not a cheap knock off.
not comfortable. leather feels different. started falling apart after a year. overall looks rough around the edges...literally. edges and finishes were obviously done hastily and without much attention to detail.I am moving next month, 2 years after receiving the chair. I am planning on donating it to salvation army.
