Lamiglas Classic Glass

This rod is junk. It snapped in half on its very first use - what a way to start salmon season opening day! At the time of our purchase it was $95. Seller (Trimax Outlet of Brand New Products) did not want to refund or offer a replacement because it was one week over the 30-day return window. They didn't even bother to reply to my request or offer an apology for the inconvenience, at the very least. Lamiglass one-year warranty is a joke. They wanted us to pay $25 replacement fee plus shipping - for a defective item that we didn't even get to use once! Stay away from this junk. I spent over an hour on the phone with several amazon representatives (not counting the time spent emailing them) to finally get our money back. Buyer beware.

Im a kid and I wanted the buy the rod to go with my Abu Garcia silver max reel. I was very excited to get it at first butit could barley fit in my house! When Amazon ships it too you the rod comes in two pieces and is bound together by rubber bands. I returned the item about 3-4 weeks ago and it still hasn't reached Amazon and I STILL have NOT gotten my refund! I personally do not recommend this rod to people who just want a nice rod and don't really know what they are looking for. I personally trust Lamiglass, they make excellent rods, but 9 feet is just too long. If you know what you are looking for a good rod and realize how big this is I think this rod is great for you! But remember i'm just a kid so don't take my statements too seriously.

Shipping was fast. I bought two rods, one looked like it was stuffed in a cardboard envelope for shipping (surprised it didn't break) and the other was packaged nicely like a $100 rod should be. I was a little surprised when I opened the box, the 9ft 15-30lb rated rods are grey. I missed that in the description, I was expecting a brown/red color per the item description. I looked the rod's over pretty good, very nicely built trolling rods. I plan to put Shimano TLD15's on them, should be a great combo!

First one was sent back. Arrived broken and defective. Second one snapped one month after warranty expired, just from reeling in the gear off the downrigger. No fish on the line. No tension at all. Just broke cleanly 9” above The junction. Maybe their more expensive line is still ok, but this one is garbage. I would avoid this rod. The quality just isn’t there.

I have 4 Lamiglas rods 2 for salmon trolling and 2 spinning rod for steelhead. I think these rods function very well for the purpose I bought them for. Lamiglas prices thier rods appropreately for the quality you recieive.

Very nice when fishing for Salmon

Total rubbish. Gentle tap against the rim of my Lund and the top 6 inches snapped off. I felt like my nostalgic venture into glass would re create the halcyon days of my youth. It didn't. Avoid if you are a serious fisherman who needs a tough work wise pole.

$ 170.00 Dollar Fishing Rod sent in a STANDARD CARDBOARD BOX ... I received my rod in a standard Cardboard box that was ABSOLUTELY CRUSHED ... LUCKILY I BUILD RODS SO I CAN REPAIR THE PROBLEM ... I have ordered NUMBERS OF RODS FROM SEVERAL MANUFACTURERS & THAY ALL CAME IN AN UNCRUSHABLE CARDBOARD " TUBE " ... THIS IS SLOPPY & UNFORGIVABLE !!!
