I have to confess, I'm not through reading this book. I'm "savoring" it--chapter by chapter, reading and developing an action plan to realize my dream. You see, I dream of being creative, of being my own boss, of working when I want to and not working when I don't want to work. It's not a very practical dream at times. But Holley Gerth is giving me the faith-based tools to see my dream become more real and more concrete than it's ever been before.You're Made for a God-Sized Dream is another in a long series of Christian "self-help" books, but it's not a recipe book. It's not a step-by-step-follow-this-plan-and-I-promise-you-the-riches-of-heaven book. It's a book that sets out to encourage you to pursue the dream (and even when to change the dream).Holley's style is conversational. She's pulled up at your kitchen table sharing a chat with you. She doesn't preach at you; she doesn't make you feel guilty because you're a dreamer. She doesn't tell you that you're impractical. She "listens," gives advice, and encourages you to dig deeper into the dream--your longings, your reasons, and even your skills. She coaches you through the hard stuff.And so what if your dream never realizes itself the way you envision it? So what if you change your dream along the way? Or even give it up for a season? It's okay. Holley simply says that we have dreams, and through God's love, we can have the courage to pursue them.

I have a mental list of dreams. As I read "You're Made for a God-sized Dream" by Holley Gerth, it's as if she heard me list these dreams and cheered me on with God's word and anecdotes from her own life. But she didn't stop there.Holley writes soft-spoken truth. Her words encouraged faith, challenged me to take steps, cautioned me that others may not see my dreams like I do, helped me realize God has been preparing me for this, and reminded me that my actions toward dreams are really about serving the Giver of these dreams.Like our lives, our dreams won't be perfect. But God has us here, where we are, for a perfect purpose. We won't love every minute that we're here, working and dreaming and serving and living. Moving forward and finishing what we've started won't be easy. We'll make mistakes and He'll change our plans. But God is with us. I'm grateful for these sweet reminders from Holley Gerth in "You're Made for a God-Sized Dream."

Such a great book and written in a way that was totally relatable. Holley is like the friend that you can grab a cup of coffee with and lose track of time! She challenges you to move forward while addressing the things that have stopped you from doing so before. I did this as a book club and everyone loved it and has been challenged to take the steps toward their dreams. This is truly a must read.

I sent this book as a Thanksgiving gift to a friend. She loves it. She said it was very inspiring and she is encouraged to continue to go after her dreams! My review can only be on the joy of the one who received it... I hope to send out additional books for Christmas... This book makes for a Beautiful and Awesome encouraging gift!

This book is the outstretched hand of Jesus. Whenever I have something to do that takes me out of my comfort zone, that's a big scary (ok I'll say it here Chihuahua) I will close my eyes, open my hand and pretend to wrap my fingers around Jesus hand. It's when I feel the closeness of Him I feel safe to move forward. Several times while reading this book I said to myself I think I'm beginning to believe her-I think I can do this. Holley's words are inspiring and motivating. She is a true encourager and you'll find yourself believing that all things are possible through Him who gives us strength. Your dreams are worth it.

This book is simply incredible. I'm not even sure how it came into my life at this point. It's as if He himself left it on my nightstand. Thank you, Holly from the bottom of my heart for your obedience and the use of your God-given talents to encourage the rest of us. I've been in the midst of my own God-sized dream for about four years and the journey has been amazing, life-changing, exhilarating, exhausting and scarey all at the same time. I'm still no exactly sure where it is going, but thanks to you, I know that's ok. I just have to keep going. One obedient step at the time. Thank you, my friend. Let's go get 'email, y'all!!!

Holley is one of the few people whose voice pours through written words with near-tangible encouragement. Every chapter takes topics oft-covered in the self-help realm and makes them possible---even exciting---for those of us who face daily challenges that could make dreaming hard. She isn't just a trained coach, she's trained in looking her own dreams square in the eye and following God into the scary, the unknown, the stretching. It's that "come alongside and take your hand while you dream" style that makes good coaching themes radiant for us as readers. Bravo, Holley. This one's going on my frequently-reread shelf!

I am going for the God-sized dream. This book is incredible to support going for the dream of service in the way that is perfect for me. Yes, I am scared, but I guess God doesn't say, "Here's the dream. Good luck, you're on your own." So I am going to pray and trust and go for it. Thank you Holley.

great read....a must have

The order arrived in good time. I bought it as a gift and have not read it. Am reading another by same author. Sassy, helpful and down to earth. She makes me laugh and think...2 good things, at least.
