Morgan infects FWD with the virus that blighted Walking Dead.
Season 1-3 of FWD were great. Strong characters trying to act rationally in appalling circumstances. Morgan has brought with him all the maudlin sentimentality that destroyed seasons 6-8 of Walking Dead; old characters being written out for no reason, new characters added for the sake of it. Stupid, nonsensical plot lines which are not properly resolved, characters acting out of character and people just doing really dumb things in order create jeopardy. Worst of all, there are literally hours of idiotic, angst-ridden dialogue, with characters agonising over "who they are" and why "this is not you". It's like a cheesy self-help book penned by an algorithm programmed to use New Age buzzwords. The result is meretricious claptrap. I like Lenny James, he's a good actor, and he does his best, but his smugly self-righteous and perversely sententious character is no substitute for the complexity of Kim Dickens' Madison Clark. Writing her out was the dumbest thing they could have done. A great actor with a great character. We miss you, Kim!

FTWD Season 4
I don't normally write reviews for current series, mainly because hundreds of people do and my review won't matter much. But this time....What on earth have the producers/writers done to a succesful 3 series run? This 4th season is a mess. Period. Time changes galore - back - forward - present - dead people not dead (well they are, but we continue to see them in episode after episode). New characters who mean nothing and aren't very interesting (John and Naomi). Awful new bad gang and leader. Characters behaving in ridiculous ways. Lastly, who thought it would be good idea to cross Lennie James from WD to FTWD. Nothing against Lennie, but his character, as written, is now incredibly boring/annoying. Did Kim and Debnam-Carey upset anyone important. Their roles are so reduced as to be almost meaningless (I did say "almost" - when they are featured the show perks up. I am on episode 8 and very close to giving up,, something I never do. I must say I am glad to see reviewers are divided, and the above remarks reflect my personal view and disapointment as to how one of my favourite series has developed so crashingly badly. P.S I could write a very similar review for the lates "Walking Dead" - Kill Negan!

The Walking Dead Should Fear The Walking Dead
Was always a massive WD Fan Now i'm not, there's something else, in my humble opinion much better in every sense of the word. This review was originally ten paragraphs or so long, Thought i would save you the read. FTWD ROCKS!!!!I have been converted...for good

Disappointing
Loved first 3 seasons but this has been not up to much. The Morgan crossover has obviously been due to another two main characters leaving, he has got the screen presence to take a lead role or should say his character hasn’t. They’ve introduced far too many new characters and this feels this has just been to pan out a season. The characters are not main characters and sometimes the story lines are flat

I’m sad to say I personally
Don’t want to put the spoilers on this but being a fan of twd and fear twd, I’m sad to say I personally, found it sort of ran out story by E7. A real shame but the story became repetitive and lacked content. The entrance of Morgan could have been the series saver but unfortunately his character lost his spark.

Season 4 Spoiler Free Review
Although season 1 of Fear TWD was IMHO pretty poor, seasons 2 and 3 were both excellent. I loved the characters and the way it moves along at a cracking pace, it makes the original Walking Dead seem ponderous by comparison. So what about season 4? For me it started well, but unfortunately it seemed to run out of plot towards the end. It's still worth watching, but not as good as seasons 2 and 3. With the Morgan crossover and departure of many of the original cast, it has now reached the same timeline as TWD, and has changed from being an original and action filled spin off, into a more pedestrian clone of the original show. Lets hope the imminent season 5 of Fear TWD manages to kick the franchise back into life.

FTWD is back on top form!
FTWD is back, and it's on fire baby! I nearly stopped watching around Series 2, but S3 got better and better and S4 has had a bit of a reboot and I think it's the best yet. Set around 1 year after the end of S3 from what I can fathom, and more of a Walking Dead feel (before the overlong Negan arc). Very highly recommended for TWD/FTWD fans.

Never thought that would happen!
I am a big fan of the walking dead and wondered how Fear would compare!.At first I found fear to be slow, but as I got to know the characters and the story it started to gather pace. TWD however seems to have slowed and not moved far in comparison. FtWd has started to over take and impress more and more especially with the cross over of Morgan.I will still enjoy TWD but now feel more compelled to watch FtWd and I am loving the story (s3e3),
