The Partner: A Novel

While I have loved all of John Grisham's books that I have read - and, I have read most of them - this one tops them all. It is a true classic, a keeper, that I will set aside with my other favorites to read again and again. It is a classic story of love, betrayal, and money - and, yes, lawyers. I highly recommend everyone read this book. The bottom line here: Never trust anyone explicitly your money.

Well-written yarn that starts well and keeps you hooked. I like writers like Grisham that make it interesting without resorting to supernatural elements, unbelievable heroes, gory violence, or sex. It would have been a 5-star review if I cared about the characters, but they don't get you emotionally involved.

Highly recommend this book! You won’t be able to put it down! Many twists and turns in the plot that keep you guessing till the end.

If you could steal 90 million and disappear from your life completely, where would you go? A very clever lawyer does just that! The novel is a well-told tale with unique twists. I loved it!

This is a tedious book written by an author who must consider this one of his finest stories. Convoluted. Unrealistic. Almost inane. Read better books.

Fast paced, good legal story with lots of twists and turns. No spoiler alert - the ending was one I considered - definitely a good possibility - but I didn't like it. I almost didn't buy this book because some said it was short stories. It's not. It's one novel with an excerpt from Grisham's upcoming novel.

Entertaining read with plenty of action and descriptive details. Once 50% of the plot was revealed, the last twist was not too much of a stretch to predict. But still engaging and well written.

Wie bei allen Büchern von Grisham gibt es einen spannenden Plot mit einigen interessanten Wendungen. Diverse Charaktere und eine Hauptfigur, die am Ende eine unerwartete Überraschung erlebt. Auch als Leser bewundert man die Planung des Hauptdarstellers, der seiner Meinung nach an alles gedacht hatte.Auf jeden Fall ein weiteres Highlight der Grisham Romane.
