A solid, well built battery pack
*Build*This is a very solidly made battery pack, seems well put together. It's just about the right size that carrying it in my pocket isn't too annoying, the rounded sides help with that. It's a good compromise between size and capacity.*Charging*It charges my phone at full speed (not at a trickle charge like my old one). It has enough juice to recharge an iPad mini fully, and get an iPad Air to about 70%. It can recharge my Nexus 5 from flat almost three times.*Extras*It comes with a little pouch and a nice flat USB->micro-USB cable that make for a compact set to keep in my bag. The flat cable is great because it doesn't get tangled up.The lights that show the battery level are a nice touch, my old pack didn't have that so it was always a bit of a guess as to whether it had enough charge.

Good performance, good size & good price
With these power packs there is always a play-off between size and performance; you don't want something so large you'll never take it out of the house, even if it is powerful enough to charge a small town. A nice small item will do, but will that be enough to keep my phone running even for a few extra hours? This appeared to be able to give me a couple of charges, and has helpful indicator lights, so I thought it would do the trick. It arrived fully charged (four lights) and I proceeded to charge my iPhone 5. Once it had fully charged my phone it still showed four lights - I was a bit worried I had a defective unit. The upshot is that I charged my phone another four times, albeit from between 20-35% - before it was down to one light. Very impressive, but surely it will takes days to charge? No, back to four lights in 6 hours - might have been quicker, but I wasn't checking. So even at the full price this is more than worth it and should give you the confidence to drain your phone happy in the knowledge you won't be left high and dry.

I like the form factor, weight and overall performance...
My primary concern before buying a power bank was size. I don't like bulky, hard to hold/put power banks. I also needed something that could be hung with camera when mounted for time lapse or long recordings. This turned out to be a good fit for me need. I've waited 6 months before reviewing to have a better understanding on charging performance so here is my verdict. For 6700mAh, I'd say the battery backup is decent. It charges my Samsung galaxy s8 (3000mAh) twice before running out. Lately the second charge does not finish so it is losing a bit of juice. I runs my GoPro Hero 7 for up to 3 hours (longest I've tested) with losing 2 or 3 points out of 4. Given that 1020mAh battery of GoPro lasts for 1 hour this is a bit disappointing but maybe with the camera draws more power when plugged in.The best thing however is how easy it is to hold, put in tiny pockets, fix on a backpack, on a fence or on a GoPro mount. It comes in a fabric pouch that is easy to attach to all this stuff with a clip.

Great little battery pack
Great little battery pack for the money. It’s very solidly and stylishly built. Metal case with rounded edges, it fits easily in your pocket and provides a handle boost for any smart phone. I knocked one star off as it’s slightly heavier than expected, but it’s very well built!Highly recommended and it’s from Ravpower so backed up by their excellent customer service in the unlikely event you will need it.

Extra life for my phone on holiday or days out
Needed my phone to last all day though I found out it wasn't possible even for a large battery in my Nokia. I had to switch to battery saver mode. I decided to by an extra power source. This product was recommended & seems good. It's small & comes in a neat travel pouch with a connecting cable which can be connected to a USB power source to charge it. It comes with a power indicator too. At the moment I haven't really used it but will find it handy if I need to use my phone all day & have no power source to charge it. I think it will be useful on days out or holidays.

Overheats the phone when charging. No effective return process
My example seems to be fine for charging bigger devices but my phone and watch get very hot when charging from this device. Heating up lithium ion batteries by very fast charging is not good for the battery and will reduce its lifespan. I'm not sure if this is a design feature or my device is faulty. Either way I decided to return it.Unfortunately Amazon does not offer a standard return process for this item as Lithium batteries are classed as Hazardous items for transport purposes. The only carriers that will transport this item don't have drop off points near to me so it isn't economically viable for me to return it. Consequently I have an item I can't use but isn't worth returning; hence the one star review.

Great unit, charges the phone while plugged, cannot be used as mini UPS though.
I bought it before a vacation during which we would tour some cities, the idea was that being out all day and being quite reliant on the phone for maps and apps like Tripadvisor and Yelp we needed something in case we were running out of battery. The RAVPower unit did a great job, it's small enough to not be a burden but at the same time it could charge (or top up) two phones. My feeling is that it could recharge at least 1.5 times my Oneplus One phone (5.5 in phone), probably 2 times. In the evening I was connecting my phone to the RAVPower and the RAVPower to the phone charger and the phone would show recharging status and in the morning both were charged, so it does work while it's plugged to the charger, although i'm not able to say whether this is the best strategy, it did work for me and i did not notice the unit to become too hot or anything.Based on the feature above when I was back home I tried whether it could act as a UPS for my Raspberry Pi, this however DOES NOT WORK. The RAVPower does power the Pi while plugged to the charger however in case of a power loss (like if i unplug it) there will be a fraction of a second where the power output flaps, this is enough to trigger a reboot of the Pi.
