I had high hopes for this plate based on prior reviews. It is adorable and my son loved eating from it- when it was on his high chair, that is. My son is 13 months old and likes to drop anything from his high chair that isn't fastened down. Initially, it seemed to stick to the high chair but then my son found a way to get his fingers under the plate and throw the whole thing (food included) on the floor. I then tried on the kitchen table and it wouldn't stick. I tried putting it down both wet and dry but I could still pull it off. I even tried pressing down the seams on each edge. I did not contact the company, so I cannot speak to their customer service, but amazon gave me a refund. I will have to keep looking for a plate that can handle my one year old.

This was the cutest mat I was so excited to receive! Yet when it arrived I smelled this horrible rubber machine shop smell coming from the box. I was hoping this was not my mat.....yup it was the mat! Disappointed today the least. I tried washing it, soaking it and washing it again and it still smelled toxic. I emailed immediately and was responded to quickly so I’ll give credit for that one. Just wished I didn’t have to throw this cute mat away. The smell of toxic rubber just wouldn’t go away. Good luck to all who order. Hope this doesn’t happen to you! Otherwise the mat was/would have been awesome!

I originally bought this plate because my two year old son like to toss his plate across the table if he wasn’t happy with his meal.This one, he can’t. It firmly sticks to my table, but I can easily lift it at the edges (he doesn’t know that). So he can’t move it.He also LOVES it because of the design and it’s “his” plate, different from his siblings. Oh, and I can clean it with hot water, no effort.Definitely recommend this product!

I just bought this about 2 weeks ago... For my 3rd baby. And all I can think about is why the heck I didn't have it for my first 2!We were out of town at the grandparents house, and I really needed a "plate" of sorts for my 8 month old that he wouldn't pick up and throw immediately, that would act like a placemat as well, and contain his food. I saw this and had it 1 day shipped. It's probably the best small investment I've made in a long time! It stuck to the table perfectly, and has some good weight to it. The baby only tries to lift it if it is not on a flat surface, and that takes some work. It cleans easy, and I've even started taking it to restaurants with us. I just told it in half and stick it in the diaper bag.I'm thinking I need to buy a second one now too. So one can be in the dishwasher, and one clean/being used, at all times.

I bought this thinking that it would make it easier for my 9 month old to pick up soft, squishy foods with his fingers, and it does! He still ends up with a lot in his lap, I mean he is a baby, but the extra ridges and the soft-brushed feel definitely make it easier for him to pick up slippery soft foods. I also purchased this to have a convenient eating surface away from home and our highchair (we camp a lot). It's surprisingly thick and heavy, and the underside is smooth-shiny so it suctions to tabletops, though my little guy already figured out that you can peel it up from the corner. I can see us getting a lot of use out of this thing for a long time.

Bought as a gift for a friend of ours who's little boy is having a birthday. It's nice an thick and high quality. It shipped fast from Amazon and was ready to go (all the parents had to do is just wash it really quick with some soap and water).Our friends 2 year old loves it and wants at his spot for every meal. Nice to know that a unique gift such as a dinosaur placemat can be so well received. Very happy!

We needed another placemat for our twins and I decided to give this one a try as my children love dinosaurs. The size is great and the suction is better than the other placemat we have! We will now use this one for our everyday use and the old one for travel. As soon as my children saw the plates, they were so excited that they walked over to the dining room chairs. It’s so important to have great suction on these types of plates because my twins are 2 and love flipping over their plates, and it definitely hasn’t slowed them down.

This dino May is lead free and 100% food grade silicone. Although BPA free plastics are better than BPA containing ones, studies have shown them to still be toxic especially when heated so I personally choose food grade silicone or glass for my baby. I love that it’s lead free. Current laws protect our kids to a certain degree but it’s just not good enough, they still allow up to 100PPM of lead in their products. Lead is all around us, it’s in the food they eat, schools, medical buildings, dirt they play in we don’t need anymore in their products. I feel 100% safe feeding my baby with Lilly Love’s products. Love that the dino parts are portion controlled and it’s an added bonus that it’s adorable!
