Fantastic! I bought this for my Doxie, and used it for training with him. He responded well, and whenever he sees me take it out, he knows it's time to go to work. I wish I would have gotten my other doxies one for training. The quick snap really makes a difference in the dog's attention, and his response to using this was a positive one. I would definitely recommend other people that are looking for help training their pet to buy this.

Product is fully operational, very durable, arrived on time. Just know before you buy, it's not a wonder tool; it's not going to train your dog for you. It's not going to measure your dog's neck for you with a measuring tape. It's also not going to know how big your dog's neck is or is going to be in the wide spectrum of "medium size dog" at the time of purchase or later on down the road (the word medium is subjective here). These are things the owner ought to have informed themselves with before purchasing the product and is relative to their dog's breed/breeds, mother and father size, etc. We are very pleased with our product.

Chain seems like a standard training/choke chain, but the sizing is extremely misleading. I was surprised it was a struggle to put the chain on my dog's neck when I thought I had a 16 inch chain. I pulled out a measuring tape and surprise! The CHAIN part that goes around your dog's neck ended up only measuring 14 inches. My dog's neck measures 13 inches and I took into account 3 extra inches and ordered a 16 inch chain to allow room to get the chain on. It is ridiculous to include both rings in the measurement when one ring does not add any length to the chain. Seems reasonable to assume a collar claiming to be 16 inches would indicate the max size it would extend to. It would be helpful if all collars on Amazon indicates actual neck fitting size and not include irrelevant things into the measurement.

This says that it is for medium sized dogs but there was no flippin way that it was going to go on our dog. She is definitely medium sized.So be careful and know how long of a collar that you really need.This one really would be best for a biggish small dog.

I bought two chain slip collars at Petsmart and about fainted. $12 each. They also didn't have the selection I wanted, so I had to buy bigger than I was looking for. I came home and bought the exact length I wanted on Amazon for 1/2 the price. These seem to be a nice quality that will hold up, they're the size I need, and at a good price. Happy shopper here.

nice and effective collar. she learned very quickly to walk a bit slower. would suggest to pay special attention to ear clearance rather than neck and chest when estimating the required length. 1st one was tight (it's so nice I'm keeping it anyway), but I ordered a second giving an extra 2 inch clearance for the underestimated ears.

Same chain you would get in a PetSmart or Petco but I would recommend measuring your dog's neck. I got the 16" because my husky is skinny but realized he actually needed a 22" after I took him to the store to try one on. I had to pay to ship the other one back, losing half the money I paid.
