I ordered the magnetic clip mainly for using the pencil clips when I am out doing sketching on location either on my own or with my urban sketching group. I am really loving using the magnetic clip for the pencil as I intended but I am even more just crazy about the wristband as I discovered it works most beautifully to hold my tiny watercolor sets that I put together in small mint boxes. When you are out trying to schedule building and location or animals at the zoo and you were trying to keep all of your stuff organized this is just a fantastic wait to have your watercolor set rate on your wrist super convenient. I have actually been wanting to make a watercolor watch like this for sometime but could not quite get my act together to organize a Velcro system etc. and it turns out this is ready-made !! it’s just perfect for this purpose. I highly recommend to all my artist friends and the magnet is nice and strong and holds the small Altoids watercolor palette or even my slightly larger mint-container watercolor palettes on very securely.

The MagnetaClip is a very useful product! - It's really versatile in the way I can use it to hold my pencil on my cap in the summer, and using the clever removable power plate I can also attach it to my winter cap in the winter. It beats the heck out of having a cold pencil pressed against the side of my face in the winter.As an amateur do-it-your-selfer, this product also really helps keep me organized. Using the included wristband and the magnetic clip together is great for keeping nails and screws handy and ready for use. I had always misplaced nails and screws when doing a woodworking project or repairs to our house. But since I've been using MagnetaClip, I can safely say those frustrations are a thing of the past.Another point I'd like to mention is besides the magentic clip, included with this product is a carpenters and regular pencil and a very handy and powerful LED flashlight (with batteries included!). It is a complete well thought-out system. I also am a fan of the very friendly packaging - easy to open, no scissors or elbow grease needed! The plastic container and instruction card acts as a nice re-usable storage unit for all the components when not in use.Thanks to the creator of this product!

These work GREAT! and are EXACTLY what I've been searching for for both pens and carpentry contractor pencils. I ordered a second kit by mistake and kept it so I have backups. I DON'T WANT TO LIVE IN THIS WORLD WITHOUT THESE ON MY PERSON AND ON MY TRUCKS! the magnet is strong enough to hold my olight flashlight in the same position as the pen in my pic and it stays! Love these things! Will order again when lost or, more likely, stolen because they are so awesome.

in lieu of a third hand, I'm always trying to rig or find solutions to make work easier. I was really only looking for a pen/pencil clip, but everything I got in this pack made it so much better.

I've literally looked for a product where I could hold my pencil attached to me somehow, for about two years. I kept it twisted up in my hair for work, but that meant I had to wear my hair up every single day. There didn't seem to be a functional product out there made to hold a pencil to your clothing so you could walk around with one. It drove me nuts. I looked on writing forums and office groups, and I found a lot of things that used to be made, or that almost work, etc. I finally found this and bought it so so fast.I tend to use the clip only, not the wrist strap. I pop the faceplate off and sandwich that and the magnet between my shirt, usually near the bottom of my shirt on the right. I place the pencil with the pointy side facing inward to the left so I don't accidentally break the lead or poke anyone while walking around. I put it in a place that is easy to reach, and grab for it several times a minute. It's so incredibly convenient. Another good place would be on your chest, with the pencil facing down, on the side opposite to your dominant hand. The pencil itself slides into the metal holder that stays magnetically on the clip.The issues I had with this were very minor and understandable. One, you might find that the pencil holder is a bit tight and hard to get your pencil into. I exclusively use Dixon Tichonderoga, and it was tight but still easy enough to get on. Better a touch tight than a bit too loose, of course. I was fine with it. But if you have really weak fingers from arthritis or anything, you might find it hard to put on. The holder is also a bit long when the pencil gets super short, so it can become a nuisance when writing, and I found that I would cast off pencils sooner than usual for the ease of using a longer one. I keep those pencils aside for use in my car, bag, etc as quickie writing utensils (I use so many post its and notepads).The second issue I had was that in the specific placement I use the clip in, I would bend over a table often and it would smack into the table, knocking the pencil off and onto the floor. I'd have to stop to look for wherever it had rolled to. One day I lost the pencil entirely, and couldn't find it anywhere. Without the pencil, which has the holder on it, you can't use the product anymore because there's no metal holder to clip anything to.I emailed the company and described how glad I was for the product, and wanted to purchase a few spare holders because I knew I'd lose them again. I found their replacement parts page and bought two (very reasonably priced). The next day I woke up to a personalized reply from the company. They had actually refunded me and were still sending me replacements- and more than the two I had originally asked for. I have been super impressed and will continue to support them and sing their praises to anyone I know who would need to clip anything to anything, really. It's much more versatile than just pencils.

It works good, magnet is strong but clip broke after a month. Hat fell off coat hanger.

Bought this for my husband because he always puts his pencil behind his ear. He does bathroom remodeling and this magnet came in soooooo handy. Often times his pencil would slip off his ear or it would take a few moments to readjust and put it back in place. This magnet is so strong and fits very easily on his Nike 99 classic dri fit hat (for reference to you hat wearers). Now my husband can just put his pencil back in place with quick ease...a huge help to those of you who are in construction who know how even the little things matter especially when you’re using the hands all the time. Comes with a wrist strap but husband doesn’t really have much use for it, although, it’s very convenient to have.

I build decks for a living everyday and cannot imagine going to work without this now. You don't even feel the magnet in your hat after a couple minutes. No discomfort at all! Highly recommended!
