This is honestly the best way to get what you need recorded. This looks exactly like a cigarette lighter or a USB . I actually placed a Marilyn Monroe sticker around mine and it looked even better. A great Marilyn Monroe lighter. Just one button on the bottom to turn on. When it blinks you know it's recording. It's also voice activated. Just hold in your hand, in your pocket, sit it on the table and go. Download the app on your computer and then plug into your computer to download audio. It looks just like a USB charger if you don't use the addef lighter top. Just plug into the USB port on your computer and no one will ever know it's a recording device. I was not sure if this was going to work but it was perfect. Charges easy and battery life is very long. It's perfect. I highly recommend this. It's well worth the price.

I love this item. Looks exactly like a flash drive, at a glance you would not notice the difference. Functions well. I stick it in my bra when recording the threats being made to me by my abusive husband. You can hear pretty well through my clothes. Plugs right into my USB to charge. I wish time I could get the time stamping to work, even following the directions step-by-step i was unable to set up this function. It is good I would buy again, I manually adjust the time and date when I replay the recording on my computer.Update:. While in the car this recorder fell into the seat and my husband thought nothing of it. I still carry in my bra but it's very sensitive and picks up alot of background noise. The one thing I dislike is that it's not compatible with my computer. These recordings are WAV recordings and need to be converted in order to be saved to my computer. It's alot of work. I just use my cell to re-record which maybe isn't the worst thing since I can also edit the recording as I need. Wish it was compatible and easier to clip.

Purchase this device a while ago and it never did work. I should've sent it back!

The media could not be loaded.  If discreet recording is needed, this recorder should fit those needs. With its caps, it looks like an actual lighter and USB drive. It works fine with my Mac – my OS is Mojave – with no additional downloads. I can play audio files from the Finder's Quick Look. Hit the waves to view, edit and separate the lulls and dead space from voice audio.I may have received a defective product but the voice activated feature does not work – I will contact the seller. But, interestingly, the voice activated setting produces clearer audio with smaller storage and bytes. See my video.P.S. It took me days, on and off, to sort through the fake positive reviews on similar products, finally choosing this one. I will try to update this review but so far, I love it.

UPDATE 6/30/20: I was finally able to get the correct email address for customer support (the one in the manual is wrong) and I was sent a replacement recorder very quickly. It's been a few weeks and the new recorder is working properly thus far.I bought my first recorder about 6 most ago and it stopped working a few weeks ago. When it was recording, the quality was very good. I contacted customer support via email and now 8 days later I still have not received a response for help troubleshooting this problem. Meanwhile, in need of a recorder immediately, I purchased the same device a second time. (yep, stupid me). It arrived today and I finished setting it up this afternoon, only to discover that this item is already defective, right out of the box. This time, the lights do not light up when I turn it on so there is no way of knowing if it is recording, though I did get one recording file to show up on the drive. When I tried to do a second recording, no lights lit up again and nothing is recording as evidenced by no files on the drive. How do you get this manufacturers attention for assistance?!

Y'all... This product saved my life. My husband had a co-worker friend and they were getting to close. I felt it in my gut, although I was accommodating to a point. He helped her move and I had the good sense to put the recorder in the car and I heard him TALKING ABOUT BEING ON THAT LEASE WITH HER! If it weren't for this device I would never know the extent of this betrayal and the financial (and sexual) infidelity.All you have to do is charge the device for like an hour, it's a USB so it can be plugged into anything practically. Then you switch it on. You press the one and only button on it to do continuous or voice activated recording. I b believe the slow blink is for voice activated and fast blinks for continuous but the directions in the box will tell you. It lasts 27 hrs on continuous so it's got a long life. It looks like a vape pen or a usb drive and it's small so it's not suspicious. Then you just plug it into a computer and check the file. You need a program that plays audio but mine already had it and it's a pretty basic and common one but I'm not sure what it's called.Guys, TRUST YOUR GUT. If someone is giving you a reason to feel suspicious or unsafe, do yourself a favor and get the receipts. This recorder literally SAVED MY LIFE from more trouble down the road. HE PICKED THE WRONG WOMAN TO TRY TO BE SNEAKY WITH. I WILL FIND OUT BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY AND I DON'T FEEL BAD.

Well, it did the trick. I was able to catch my wife cheating on me the first day I put it in the house. So, kudos to the recorder.As far as an actual review goes:There is a piece to make it look like a lighter, which is cool except it has a printed message that says “digital voice recorder” on the side. I scratched most of it off, but it is still kind of suspicious.As far as sound quality goes, there is a lot of white noise. Supposedly, there is an app to fix that, but I haven’t really played with it since I got what I needed the first day.The other concern is the time and date. I couldn’t figure out how to attach a file where the instructions told me to in order to get the correct information.All in all, you can hear really well, and I may just not be technologically savvy enough anymore to get the other parts to work properly.Lastly, any single ladies out there? 😂
