Oscar Schmidt36-String Autoharp, Right (OS11021FNE)

I ordered the Oscar Schmidt Acoustic Electric Autoharp as a gift for my sister for Christmas. She absolutely loved it! It was shipped promptly (within 2 days) and came undamaged and unharmed to my doorstep. It features a built-in electric tuner and graphic equalizer. The sound is so crisp and beautiful!

I love this autoharp! It is everything I wanted and more! I have three autoharps, but this is my favorite. Recommended Highly. The autoharp was only in a single box and had a tear but no damage. Other autoharps I purchased in the past were always double boxed.

Vendor did a great job, arrived well packaged & undamaged in a reasonable time. I will caution that the picture of this item is inaccurate - it shows the previous active pickup with built in EQ and tuner but as the description states it has the passive pickup. For the harp itself, the chord bars work perfectly - no hangups or bad pads. There was one bad string that pulled slowly off the ferrule. I just removed it and re-wrapped the ferrule and it is fine now. Sounds good through the pickup (I use an outboard Fishman EQ). Too bad Oscar Schmidt doesn't thin the top to get better acoustic sound - the top is almost a quarter inch thick. I'm happy.

I wanted an autoharp with an electronic pickup. I had borrowed a friends to see if I'd like playing one and his was an Oscar Schmidt. It's a well known and popular brand.I had some experience tuning my friend's autoharp and although it takes time, it wasn't super difficult. So, I wasn't sure I needed the fine tuning option, but I ordered it anyway. I am so glad I did!I can plug the pickup into an electronic tuner and get within a few cents using the regular tuning pegs. Then I can switch to the fine tuning pins an nail it dead on.Spend a little more, if you can afford it. It's worth it.

Sehr schönes Instrument, alle Saiten intakt, Feinstimmer vorhanden und auch dringend nötig (Instrument kam völlig verstimmt an). Einziger Transportschaden und mühelos selbst zu beheben war eine verklemmte Akkordtaste. Dazu muss man furchtlos einfach die Abdeckung über den Akkordtasten abschrauben und vorsichtig abheben, darunter erreicht man dann die Akkordstifte und den Mechanismus, der sich an einer Stelle verklemmt hatte. Etwas zu hinterfragen ist die Verpackung: das originalverpackte Instrument befand sich mit sehr wenig (fast null) Füllmaterial lose herumfliegend in einem viel zu großen Umkarton. Das ruft fast nach Transportschäden. Lieferung einigermaßen im Zeitfenster, eine kleine Verzögerung geht zulasten von UPS.

Der Metallwinkel, auf dem die Saiten aufgezogen sind, kam beim Stimmen immer weiter heraus.Ich habe das Instrument komplett zerlegt. Der Metallwinkel war mit drei mickrigen Schräubchen befestigt,von denen 2 in Leere gingen.Habe neue Löcher in den Metallwinkel gebohrt und ihn mit mehr und längeren Schrauben befestigt.Jede Saite einzeln wieder aufgezogen.Nach ca. 3 Std. Arbeit war das Instument stimm-und spielbar. Für den Preis eine Zumutung!!!
