This is a great book by a great author

The content of the book is good. But I got the fake copy of this book. The page quality and print of the book is very poor and seems to be printed locally.

The book is divided into two parts; the first is Og Mandino's personal history tollowed by the 17 brief daily lessons. The story prepares the way for the life lessons; it tells very directly and honestly Og's life before and after his moment of crisis and decision. Without the first part of the book, it would seem like so many other self-improvement guides: just ideas and case histories of third parties. Og's own experiences are also included as part of each of the 17 steps as well as uplifting quotes from the Bible, Thoreau, Montaigne and others. As with all his books, Og's ideas are presented simply and directly without fanfare or fluff. For those who want a simpler approach than those offered in many of his other books, A Better Way to Live is that choice. The 17 lessons can be repeated in order or as needed. Well worth the money; well worth the read.

I previously read The Greatest Salemsman in the World and this book was fantastic! However A Better Way to Live is a slow read and the beginning was pretty boring as he trys to describe his place where he writes. Some of the principles are useful but if you have studied self-help books you will find similar information available. I would not read this book again and would not recomend it to others.

Og is an inspiration to all who are lucky enough to read any of his books, view his inspirational talks, etc. He invites you into his world with such enthusiasm that you can't help but sit down and spend a little time with him.

A thoroughly entertaining while thought provoking read. Og Mandino books are always well received in this household and whether in print or electronic they all deserve a place in your home.
