Great Swim Cap for Long Dreadlocks!
This Long Hair Swim Cap is amazing! I have 18-inch dreadlocks, and it fits all of them comfortably inside the cap with room to spare. The silicone material is durable and waterproof, keeping my hair dry while swimming. I’ve tried other swim caps before, but none could accommodate my locs without feeling too tight or uncomfortable. This one stretches easily and doesn’t pull on my hair. It stays securely in place throughout my swim, which is a huge plus! If you have long hair, dreadlocks, or braids, this is definitely the swim cap you need. Highly recommend!

Comfortable, but some hair still wet
I have a lot of hair. This cap allows me to put all my hair in. Some of it still got wet, but not as much as with other caps. It’s also pretty comfortable

Really does have lots of space for extra long hair
This cap took some getting used to but overall I really like it.Pro's:Truly fits all my thick, long hair. In fact, there's plenty of extra room. I don't have an afro or extensions or dreads, but I bought this cap specifically because all the other caps I've bought prior never have enough room for all my hair, even though they say they are made for long hair. The material is thicker than previously owned caps. Hopefully it's more durable because of this. Feels like it will beIt stays put. Over my ears, on my forehead. I don't have to constantly pull it down every lap (like other caps).Cons:Took me awhile to decide if I liked wearing my goggles under the cap or over the cap. Over the cap keeps air pockets to a minimum. The more air, the more it acts like a floatation device. Will not work well if you are racing and going for aerodynamics. Fortunately, I'm a slow swimmer and don't care that it helps keep my head afloat. Maybe if I had more hair and filled the cap this would not be an issue. It also pushes my goggles down and this can cause some discomfort for my eyes. I have found this to be my preference though and I just set the cap a little higher on my forehead. This doesn't make it as waterproof, but that's not my goal as caps are not meant to be waterproof. I use caps to keep hair out of my face.If I wear my goggles under the cap then the goggles are more comfy, but the cap fills with too much air and I bob on the surface like a buoy. This is sooo big I can easily put my whole head inside of it. This could be dangerous for a small child and suffocation. I actually do put my whole head inside when putting it on cause it's just easier to adjust that way, but do be cautious.Overall I like this cap more than any other I've used and would buy again.

You say swim, I say shower AND swim.
I saw this product on a deal here, and I took a chance on it. I do not have dreads, but I do have longish hair (mid-back) that is very thick. I have trouble finding shower caps that fit, especially since they all seem to be shrinking the last few years, even trusted brands. I have long nursed the thought of modifying a silicone swim cap to use as a shower cap. When I saw this I realized that I didn't have to. I wasn't sure if it would work out for that, but I could always use a new swim cap anyway since the one I had is super tight.I figured that the sticking point might be getting the thing on, but on just the second try it went on smoothly and easily ( I just had to use a headband, duh). I have been using it about a month now and I am so happy. With an ordinary shower cap I had to choose whether I wanted the hair near my face wet, or my nape. This thing is so generously cut that it easily covers with room to spare. It also seals so well that I have to break the seal sometimes when it is too airtight, or my ears feel like they might pop,. LOL.I haven't tried it yet for swimming, but I expect it to perform well for that too, and to be a lot more comfortable to wear when playing in the pool.I also wanted to mention that this is very well constructed, with attention to detail the is overlooked by some of the ordinary swim cap makers. Notably, the edges are thickened to prevent punctures. Since this is how my swim caps usually die, I am very happy to see this. I will update this when I get some swim time in and can address that aspect. I wish there were more fashionable colors, but that's just a quibble. I am so glad I made this purchase.

Set it and forget it.
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this cab February 2024 and just getting around to using it in September. The material has held up well. I got a large because I feel I have a larger than average a size head, plus I was planning for braids. I did not have a problem putting it on. It's tight but not too tight where it takes two people. I have nails but made sure not to dig into the plastic with them. I did have a little water seep in but it may have been because of me manipulating it once it was in place. I wore it with a Dri-Fit sweatband but I also made sure that the tightest part of the elastic was sitting as flesh as possible, below my ears and close to my eyebrows. I would recommend setting it and forgetting it to prevent from breaking the seal. I'm still going to have to wash my hair to make sure the chlorine is out, especially around my edges but it's not saturated. The band is damp but nothing to be wrung out. Should work fine if you're not doing a lot of underwater swimming (which I was doing) and just trying to protect your hair from the occasional dip.
