Product looked fine when delivered. I wanted to order the control solutions for this unit, but was informed by Accu-Check that the Performa Model was not manufactured for use in the U.S. Thus, the solution was not available to check the unit for accuracy.Roche, the manufacturer of Accu-Check is sending a current unit to me free of charge. The free of charge unit is available to anyone who goes to the Roche (Accu-Check) website.

When I contacted Roche that was the information I was told.Why sell a product when you cannot get test strips for the USA.I was also told the Performa was for clinical use.But they stopped USA sales. This was a very good meter with excellent readings.Now I'm back with the Aviva meter which is also as accurate ,with higher cost in test strips.Shame on selling a product you cannot get USA test strips.

1st Class Monitoring Kit. Checked this monitor’s accuracy against other more expensive monitors and it was within within 1 decimal difference. Good for home or workplace. Very easy to use and well made.

overall pretty good.... what makes this difficult for me is that I got it for my diabetic cat, and getting a drop of blood before it times out isn't always easy. Probably no problem for humans.

I am not usually one to do a bad review but we received this yesterday to ck my husband's sugars and the clicker stick doesn't work to pick your finger and the machine itself doesn't work. We have tried 6 or 7 strips and done them by the instructions and all we get is an error message. It won't read and I can't do any settings on it.

Found out that monitor strips were for European use, not USA use. Returned product.Had talked to Roche to obtain testing bottle and found this out.

You get what you pay for. After trying cheaper models, it feels good to have a reliable and accurate testing device. I took one star off Due to a broken lancing device in the kit.

I use them with an Accu-Chek Performa meter. They work great.
