This is a great tool for cable runs
Having tried to work with coax cable the "old way" for years, I figured a short project to replace some damaged wire and upgrade a few other runs would be worth spending some money on a tool to ensure solid connections. This set allowed me to save my fingers and frustration on the very first connection. I only had a half dozen terminals to install, but this was completely worth it.If you have dual coax, you'll have to be careful and set the jacket cutter a little differently, but if you're running standard coax, you'll be able to use the cutter pretty much right out of the box. It makes beautiful, smooth cuts and clears the shielding very nicely. I had pre-cut my cable lengths, so I don't know if the cutter works to split the center conductor or not.The crimping tool is heavy and built to last. Just make sure to set the plunge dept exactly right or you will risk splitting the terminal collar, which you won't be able to remove.Side note: if you're using filled coax (it has a sticky gel inside for additional weather and immersion protection), keep some alcohol wipes handy to clean up. This stuff gets on everything, and will gum up the cutter pretty quickly.Even for a project that only took a few minutes, I'm extremely happy with this purchase. The cost was low enough that I feel it was money well spent to make solid, professional terminal connections without any fuss.

Broke right away, poor quality, save your money and time and buy something better.
The yellow stripper tool's adjustment screw (attached to the stripping blade housing) broke after a few uses. Even before that it moved around too much within the cheap plastic tool so every cut was different (to a different depth). The compression tool cracked the male adapter fitting, so probably the fitting was made too cheaply with thin metal. No instructions included. Made in China. Overall, looks good in photo but poor quality once used.

Hits the DIY sweet spot!
I bought this kit to install an OTA TV antenna and customize the coax cable for signal distribution to several rooms. The compression tool is solid, moves smoothly and has a rudimentary but effective mechanism to adjust for connectors of different lengths. It is sturdy steel, comfortable in the hand, works well and gets the job done. There are more highly engineered tools available, with better finish and more precise adjustment mechanisms but they're quite a bit more expensive. If you are a professional, doing multiple installs every day, then the investment would probably be worthwhile (or you just have to have the best, even if you're only going to use it once). But for the rest of us doing a one-off or occasional projects this is a great set. This very same compression tool and cutter are sold at higher price points by other sellers, so why pay more? The only downside in the kit is that the connectors are really low quality (it looks like the same kind are included with most of the kits, btw). They may be fine for indoor placement or a temporary install. But I suggest shopping around for some pro level connectors (PPC, PCT, Klein, etc.) that will hold up over time.

Easy Peary
I don’t understand all the negative reviews. There’s nothing remotely complicated about this process, and this kit makes making coaxial cables a breeze! You put one end of your cable in the stripper (it’s already set up for RG6 cable) spin it around 3 times and pull the cut pieces off. Fold back the wire braid shield. Slip the supplied compression fitting over it and push until the white insulator is flush with the bottom of the fitting. Use the small compressor end and put it in the compressor tool. Squeeze it closed and you’re done. I did have to adjust the setting to get the compression sleeve to fully close, but once it’s set there’s nothing to mess with. This kit works! It is quality materials! It doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Don’t listen to the whiners. If you have a question, look it up on YouTube, there’s scads of how to videos.

Perfect tools for crimping & stripping coax, at a great price!
I needed to replace a tv cable in my house that got damaged. I didn’t have any tools for stripping or crimping coax and didn’t want to spend a lot of money. This set is PERFECT! The stripper makes preparing the end of the cable almost effortless, and the crimper (compression tool) is well built and easy to use. It only took a minute to get the adjustable stop set for the size connectors I have. I wasted two connectors setting the tool to give a full crimp without crushing the connector. There are no instructions included, but it’s pretty easy to figure out... I DID find some YouTube videos that showed me how. :-)I’m very happy with the quality of the build, these tools will last a long time, and would buy them again!

no instructions
No paperwork included. After searching and watching some Youtube videos I figured out how these tools worked. I found several close videos but none exact for these tools, but I understood the concept.I broke one connector before getting the adjustment correct on the press tool. The cutter worked perfectly once I knew how to use it. Every connection I made except that first one worked well. The connectors don't work on the cheap coax that you find at discount stores but they worked great on the cable company heavy-duty coax. For the price you can't go wrong at least for home use.

perfectly fine for casual use
I had to re-terminate some coax around the house and these tools did the job. I have only used them a few times but they seem sturdy enough to last assuming infrequent use. The cutting tool is nice because it cuts both depths simultaneously and with the correct length. The only usability issue is having to adjust the stopper each time you load in a new connector. Perhaps I'm just doing that part incorrectly. Also, there seem to be a bunch of vendors that sell this exact unit. I would assume they are all identical. I went with the vendor that had the best reputation at the time and reasonable price.
