Based on other reviews I ordered a Large. It was a tiny bit hard to get over my hips, but once I had it on it fit great! elastic goes a but higher up on waist than a typical tutu, but this makes it stand straight out. I was truly pleasantly surprised at how great the quality was for such a low price. I am about 5"6 and 128 pounds for reference.

Bought this for my 8 year old ballerina who was dying for a pancake tutu. It fits her but is big. Definitely would agree that it runs small. But beautiful! And perfect for what we needed it for.

It runs small I am glad we ordered a medium. My daughter is 5’6” and wears a size 1. The medium fit her great and it is very pretty

We were looking for a simple black platter for a photo shoot & what we received is not a true one. It’s more like layers of cupcake wrappers made from stiff pleated tulle. It is a great tutu if just for a costume, but it’s not a true platter.Yes, it had the fish smell, but that is not uncommon anymore with freight shipping. That could have been resolved by airing out over time. You can also look up methods online.The fit was the major issue. My daughter has a curvy, very muscular dancer’s build, particularly in her legs, as opposed to the more prima ballerina thin, talk & leggy body type. She wears a women’s Medium and is a 28” waist, so I ordered the Large. It barely made it mid-thigh, if that. I don’t know that the XL would make it all the way up without having to pop some stitches. It would be fine at the waist but there is no give to get it all the way up the legs.We thought we were sent a Child Large accidentally so we had her 11-year-old sister try it on. She is also a dancer and very tiny for her age. She wears a child 12 and has not developed curves yet. It fit well, just slightly baggy at the waist. This was the ADULT LARGE.So sadly, this is going back. If you have thinner thighs and are looking for a good quality tutu, I recommend ordering at least one size up & this will be great for you after you air it out. It just did not work for us.

I am sort of baffled by the positive reviews of this shoddy product. The price should have tipped me off. First of all, it runs VERY SMALL, such that an XL would probably fit an adult woman only if she were quite petite (like, hips smaller than 36"). Furthermore, the quality of the materials and the stitching is low: I had not even taken mine fully out of the package when I noticed that the stitching around the waist was partly unraveled. For ballet, this is not a great choice. Maybe it would work out well for cosplay? The tutu platter itself is quite small, only 10", so it's not going to look good for performances or on a normally proportioned adult dancer.

Beautiful tutu, well made, ready to wear out of the box (no steaming needed). Runs very small (needed two sizes up from typical size).

It is a nice practice tutu, not stage worthy. I was really disappointed because either I got one that was returned because the skirt had dirt marks all over it and the package had holes. There was even a bug in between the Tull.

I am 5'4" 130lbs (28" waist) and the Large fits perfectly!It was very snug to get it on but once its on, it is perfect. There is no zipper, you just slip it on and has a clean look all the way around. It arrived a month early which I am vey happy about.

Smells horrible... like it was stored next to rotten fish. This thing will stink up your whole house! Sizing is way off as well. Ordered an adult XL and did not come close to fitting me when I am normally a womens large.
