GMB125-6030 OE Replacement Water Pump with Gasket

When the mechanic saw the Water Pump he immediately asked me why did i buy it? he said ACDelco is 1000 times better; I bought it cuz it was the cheapest.anyway he installed it and changed the Drive belt (also bought from Amazon and it is prefect); flushed the coolant system and what not, put the anti-freeze, and emptied all the air that was in the radiator and pump etc... just apparently the normal procedure.he drives it, comes back, empty more air, etc.. until he said it is ready - i went to my vet clinic to get food for my cats (15 mn drive) all is fine; park the car in front of the vet clinic (wife in car) buy the stuff put them at the back seat (like 5 mn total) get in car and my Jag displays ENGINE TEMP HIGH... i turn off the car immediately, called the mechanic, he said so it happened when it was PARKED right? i go like yup and this is where he said he installed 5 of those , 2 did the same for they do not pump an adequate amount of water in park mode while when driving they do for some reason. Car is still at mechanic, I am filling a return to Amazon.People with High Performance engines I advise u to stir away from this one or at least this is my own experience. hope I helped some1 out there.Roger

Original pump had plastic impeller. Have read about failures of this pump due to impeller slipping on shaft. This shouldnot happen with cast iron impeller. Only disadvantage of the metal is that it may, over time, contribute to some rust inthe cooling system but I will take that over a complete failure.

Seems to be very good quality. The only thing that was not mentioned in the description online was that you would need to get a tube of gasket sealant. I had to get the sealant after the box arrived with the instructions.

It works really well in my 2000 Lincoln ls v8 3.9 jaguar _ been in ther about 1 1/5 year now
