These are excellent, easy to use feeders for your pond plants. They are sturdy enough to push through all but the toughest water lily roots. We put them in during winter clean up and they do last a year. My blooms were spectacular this year. They are for plants in pots, which is what I have. I don't know how well they would work in a more natural water garden.I had been using the tabular feeder but these are much easier to use and a lot less labor.

I purchased these last year on Amazon and I loved them. They are so easy to put into the pots and my lilies really improved in color and growth.

The algae in my pond went beserk after I put the spikes in, I have been removing islands of algae from my pond since I put the spikes in. The leaves do look a little improved also, but overall my work in trying to keep the pond clean has increased treemendously. I wish the delivery sysytem was designed so that there was no spillage in the pond. When you try to put them in the container, a large portion of these comes out of the holes.
