Rotozips are pretty straightforward, practical tools for niche problems. I had to "zip" a slit in a 1/2 piece of plastic. It wasn't easy but it did the job. Most people use this thing for drywall--smart choice. I've used it for cutting tile using a special grinder type attachment. My old Rotozip wouldn't let go of that attachment. It froze on somehow, which is why I got this refurbished "zipper" You can't beat $50 for the types of little jobs it does--comes in handy.

This tool seemed to be in like-new condition. As for using it, it kicks up one heck of a drywall dust storm! Would really like to see them move the vents away from the business end and direct them away as well b/c that seems to be the primary reason for such a massive dust storm. I've been trying to deal with that by taping a hose from my shop-vac to the tool and that works to some degree, but not completely.As for cutting the hole itself, it takes some getting used to and can cut through plastic boxes, so it takes practice. Once you learn how to control it, it makes fast work of box cutting problem.

This rotozip tool works like new , there is no difference between factory reconditioned and new one , came in a cardboard Box ,It has got all the manual,collets,adjustable wrench.when it arrived the bits were missing contacted the seller and seller is shipping the bits shorlty, meanwhile i tested with the bits from my old roozip and it work;s perfect , cant beat the price and shipping was ultra fast.Waiting for the bits as seller promised, earlier due to bits missing i posted less rating but need to justify with new ratings , All ***** 5 Stars.Great Product and very good seller.

I have used this for only one job so far (sheetrock installation) but it works fine. Looks like new. I am looking forward to using it for trimming OSB from window and door openings using the tracing bit by Roto-Zip. I was a little apprehensive that this model did not have a handle like the 1500 model but it is easy to use without. Need to be careful about the exhaust ports ... first time I used it got a face full of sheetrock dust from letting the exhaust port point toward me. Otherwise a good purchase.

I only use this for cutting holes in drywall. With the advent of the multi-tool there isn't much else these things are good for.

Not enough cutting power for 3/4 wood stock, great for sheet rock,but so is a butter knife
